I have had my Aqualtis AQ9D69U for a couple of years. It started off well, but I noticed that my clothes started to come out shredded after the wash. This seems to be a fault on other other models from the reviews that I have seen. Also the paddles (the things that I have seen in the machine) become loose and fall off from time to time. Items became trapped in the inner door seal (never happened with any other machine that I have owned) causing the inner drum to conflict with the outer drum. Today the seal popped off around the door (again never happened with other machines I have had) while I was checking for items (after watching the engineer), I put it back on, started the machine and had a nap. Was woken by the Fire Brigade who told me that the machine was leaking into the flat downstairs, and I found my kitchen was soaked as well as the passage. This machine, despite working extremely well (when it does) has some EXTREMELY SERIOUS design flaws. I have had another Hotpoint machine which broke down (the electrical panel burnet out after 10 months) and it was cheaper to replace rather than repair. Bearing that in mind, I will give you the choice to decide whether to by a Hotpoint brand machine...
