I Bought This From Courts In June 2001. Lo And Beh
I bought this from Courts in June 2001. Lo and behold just over a year later it starts playing up.Strangely it goes into stand by mode on its own.Sometimes it will stay on until the next time its used but right now its permanently off.
Courts were very uncaring basically thanks for the 500 quid but go away.Worst of all I got it on interest free for two years and I am now paying for a dusty ornament.
I had a24pw6005 with the same fault, so I got the dealer to replace it. Now the replacement is doing the same. Philips' help desk are no help at all. The lesson would appear to be avoid Philips televisions.
This is an inherent fault in these tvs.All the sellers know it and Phillips know it.It can be repaired easily but the faulty part is over £30 and then there is the labour(£100).Its a time bomb waiting to break in all these tvs.
You would think the responsibility to keep customers happy would be important to a big company like Courts but I have got so much work from their Customer non-service,its unreal.They never fail to astound me.
My advice is dont buy one of these.
And dont buy from Courts.
And if you do not listen to this advice for the first time ever its worth buying the extended warranty!

I Purchased This Set After Being Advised To But Wa
I purchased this set after being advised to but was disappointed with the result. I am now on my second unit after the first had picture probems. The one I have now has the same picture problem and also has a sound problem aswell. I am in dispute with thr retailer as I am writing this.
I only wish I had purchased the panasonic equivilent.
That being said, I like the look of this set.

this has to be one or the best TV's PHILIPS have ever made the picture and sound that comes from a TV of this size is just fantastic there is also a 32" also available and the 28/32pw9615 got great review in the top reveiw mag's.
The reviewer is right. This is a very good television. I haven't regretted buying it for a moment, and I don't even watch much television. 10/10
