Nearly a year ago we bought this vacuum cleaner and relegated our old Miele cleaner to the cellar. After faultless service for nearly 15 years the old machine was badly abused by a cleaning lady employed during a period of illness so that tools no longer remained fast and the cable was damaged. We compared other models but with our past experience bought another Miele. This is a very reliable and competent machine. We have stone and wooden flooring with no carpet. This cleaner is supplied with a 'parquet twister' floor brush which works perfectly on our floors (but also on walls and ceilings!) greatly speeding up the regular cleaning required by ours sons allergies. There is no metal in the floor brush; the old one had started to scratch after the abuse it received. The brush is also replaceable. The joint of the brush allows some awkward corners to be cleaned easily but it is too high to clean under some of our cupboards. The machine is small, light and easy to use. The extra tools are held on the outside of the machine allowing for the small size of the body although these tools and their holder do sometimes get in the way. However as they are easily to hand I am probably using them more than I would if they were stored inside the machine as was the case with the old machine. The machine has a filter cassette which I am told lasts for a year or more and gives improved filtration so important for allergy sufferers.
