Sons of Anarchy was something I stumbled across whilst looking for something to watch on Netflix. The basic premise is a group of Hells Angels who going round doing some good and some bad (almost Robin Hood-esque. Almost) and the inter-relationships they have and the mischief they get into. If I'm honest I didnt give it much hope of being great, but watched the first episode and was hooked. The characters are actually quite well developed, the storyline nicely interweaved and sophisticated enough to be interesting but not too convoluted that you can't keep up with it. It could quite easily have gone the way of sensationalist violence based on the subject matter, but it doesn't, it focuses more on the characters, how complicated their lives are and how 'The Club' is the central thing holding everything together. Lots of interest subplots going on and a couple of things that run the entire length of the first couple of series. Its good - watch it!
