Took out a policy to travel to California. Had to have treatment for an infection whilst there. Lots of forms to fill in which I did. Two months later they ask for my medical records which I ok, only to find in the small print that I have to pay for the administration costs myself at the G.P's which was more than the cost of the policy itself. This is an unnecessary cost incurred to myself because this company do not believe that its the first time this infection has occurred in my life. My G.P. informs me that normally insurance companies pay this fee themselves and this is unusual. Based on my experience, stick to a known insurer if you want true value for money without the hidden comebacks in the small print.
Would I use them again... Definitely not. Also note the staff are rather rude when you speak to them on the phone.
