We spent 2 weeks at this villa (end of July 2011)and had booked through Villa Parade, Upon arrival there was clearly a problem,the house stunk of sewarage and the property was infested with ants,the kitchen was filthy and the oven, hob and worktops were covered in grease, the old wooden furniture in the house stunk seemingly a local wax and outside the grounds were unkept, pool furniture was rotten and falling to pieces. On the first morning and having woken to find we had all be joined overnight by ants in the bed, having contacted Villa Parades local office to bring the matters to there attention. They informed us that they would speak with the owners and get something actioned (it was Sunday) We did not hear a thing.....During the second week the pool water started to go green and the above problem were still there, Having noticed bugs swimming in the water we called villa parade and they advised that they would contact the owner again and that they would speak with head office in the UK. Following the call and having no faith that anything would be done We actually found some chlorine tablets which had been locked away in an unused part of the villa, also found the cause of sewerage smell which was from sewerage backing up through an old toilet, FYI the house had in excess of 50 air freshners hund up and placed around to try and mask the smells... After putting the chlorine tablets in the pool, The owner then arrived but did not want to know about any of the issues and left. Waste of time.... After a misearble time for all and several cans of ant spray later we returned home and made a formal complaint to follow up on the problems whilst there, 5 weeks later we recieved Villa parades repose which upon reading makes your blood boil. Having not really addressed any of the issues, Villa parades response was to simply offer a 15% discount on any future holidays booked with them in the next 3 years and to say that they hoped the problems we encountered did not spoil our holday.. Thats it !!! There are serious issues at this property which will be damaging to your health and wellbeing, i have only touched on the issues above i wont go into the other issues so please be warned about both the villa and the customer service from Villa parade.
