“Had an awesome tour of scotland”

★★★★★

written by anubhav1104 on 02/02/2014

When I booked with Sona Tours to be very frank I was not at all confident because I had never heard of them before but soon after boarding my bus to Scotland tour my opinion completely changed and I had an awesome time enjoying my tour with them. Rite from the schedule to the itinerary and the quality of food everything was fantastic. The hotels were good. The tour manager was very good and cooperative and entire crew from driver to the photographer were very supportive. The bus was in very good condition and was equipped with all the facilities. I would surely like to recommend them to everyone.

“most memorable trip”

★★★★★

written by on 09/12/2013

I returned just over a week or so ago from my holiday in Bangkok Vietnam, Cambodia &Laos.. It was wonderful in every way. The organisation was spot on and everything ran like clockwork due mainly to our tour manager. I just want to state how brilliant he was in looking after all of us especially we had so many treats from him such as hugh coconuts, fruits, snacks, teas & coffees etc., he up held your standard to an excellent degree and in a most professional and entertaining wat. Thank you for such a great trip. Trip was far more jam packed than the itinerary would lead you to think. Our accommodation were very comfortable and very clean and high standard with beautiful views in each destinations. We tried lots of local food and enjoyed it so much. I can't begin to express how good the food was throughout the trip. We were constantly exploring everything from local customs to Vietnam history and politics. Each day was truly one adventure after another and I will keep those memories with me for a long long time. I highly recommend Sons Tours to all our friends who plan to visit Vietnam, Combodia & Loas. Hope to be back in Vietnam in the near future. Thank you Sona Tour.

I had a fantastic time in Vietnam,Cambodia,Laos and Bankok. All the hotels, food and transport.especially all tour guides were very good. The tour manager was very helpfull, kind and generous,we had so many treats from him.I will always remember those biggest coconuts and its delicious sweet water and many times he surprised us with various fruits.I enjoyed this trip ,I must say its Value For Money -good service, good hotels, good food, good drivers and good guides.I did not like some fellow travellers finds fault in trivial matters, like taste of Indian food in Vietnam and Cambodia!!Many of them are very sporty and eager to get some information from the guide.I personlly like the services provided by Sona Tours.I highly recommend this tour to all my family and friends.Value For Money.

“DISGUSTING DRIVER”

★☆☆☆☆

written by on 10/11/2013

DISGUSTING COACH DRIVER!!! DO NOT TOUCH THIS COMPANY WITH A BARGE POLE A VERY LONG ONE. Driver pulled out onto island in front of us whilst we had 3 children in the car, He knew full well that we were coming round island HE THEN STOPS THE COACH ON THE ISLAND TO STICK HIS HEAD OUT OF WINDOW & PROCEEDED TO STICK HIS MIDDLE FINGER UP AT US all because my friend honked her horn to let him know that she had to slam her brakes on which in turn STOPPED the rest of the traffic on the island THIS DISGUSTING DRIVER could of caused a serious accident! It was on Norton Canes Island on Sunday 10/11/2013 at 2.09pm. I suggest he gets dealt with as next time he WILL cause an accident & answer to the police.

I enjoyed the Scotland tour with Sona Tours. The tour was planned well and organised beautifully by the tour manager. The hotel stay and the food was excellent. All the historical places explained well by the tour manager. On the whole, it is worth for the money. I have referred my friends to make their tours with Sona Tours.

“Great tour - scotland highlands oct 2013”

★★★★☆

written by on 30/10/2013

I booked the Scotland highlands 4 day tour for a group of family members who were coming from abroad. On their return, they had all enjoyed themselves. Had seen so many things. The coach was very comfortable, although a closer pick up point would have been preferred, but this was quickly accommodated on their return. The food was very good, the hotels were comfortable. Possibly a little extra time to buy souvenirs could be given. The tour manager was very friendly and approachable. Overall great service from start to finish. We are currently considering other tour packages from sona tours.

“Scotland Trip Experience”

★★★★☆

written by on 26/10/2013

Sona Tours for our 4 days Scotland visit was a good option. It was a fun filled trip with tourists from India. We felt at home.#11;The tour manager Mr Mr Daruwalla conducted well and made the journey interesting. Sona Tours should provide Brouchures and details and historical background of various places enroute. There should be provision of pack lunch veg/non veg if possible. Meals etc othervise were good. The chauffeur Mr Billy was a matured person and drove v well. Mr Chetan Shaw was indeed a boon. Not only he did excellent photography but also was very friendly. His behaviour was excellent and helpful. It was a great experience. Regards Col RC Chadha

Well done Mr Chadha.I fully appreciate what you have written above. We were the 8 family members from Mauritius in that tour and we all enjoyed it thoroughly.Mr Daruwalla was great and so was Mr Chetan Shaw.
On the negative side we are still awaiting the group photos which Mr shaw promised that he will be posting via our E-mail which we supplied to him during the tour.May be this request will be forthcoming soon.
Our group returned to sunny Mauritius 3 weeks ago with happy memories of Scotland.

“Indians on Scotland Tour ”

★★★★★

written by on 25/09/2013

We were fortunate that we selected Sona Tours for our 4 days Scotland visit. We could certainly enjoy all the 4 days. The tourists were from different parts of India. South, North,East and Western and also from Central part of India with different languages. At the beginning itself every body were made to introduce ourselves. This created a family atmosphere. we had onboard, small children and also young couples and also seniors like me. Man of us were vegitarian and actually worried regarding availability of food. We realised later that we did not had any problems regarding food , as we were hosted at Veg hotels only. The accomodations were also funtastic. soon we reached, we were given with room keys and we were on to good rest. we never felt any travel fatigue any day We could see all the places as mentioned itinerary. The weather was beautiful. we were given time to see and take photos. Last but not the least, the tour Manager Mr.Porus Daruwalla was excellent person who managed the tour excellently. He alongwith coach driver mr.raj made the tour a plesent one. We celebrated the first anniversary of a young couple. The coach was excellent, clean and nicely maintained. I will certainly recommend this Sona Tours to my friends who will visit UK. Thanks to all my co tourists. Anantha

★★★★☆

written by vikramrondla on 25/09/2013

We had a pleasant tour of scotland on 20/09/2013, It was a great experience. Thanks to tour manager Mr. Porus dharuwala & Captain. Mr. Raj for making it most memorable one. Food, Hotel , Tour guidance was excellent. Things to improve : When booking we were allocated seats with seat no's in the middle of the coach but we were made to sit in the last seats of the coach since we have boarded at the last pickup point. But thanks to tour manager & some passengers for considering my request to change the seats since my child was falling sick with seats allocated. Regards, Vikram Rondla

Recently, we took a Scotland tour. It is fascinating to see Samin the tour conductor encouraging tourists on the first day of inclement weather. Next 3days went happily in comfortable climate. Hats off to Samin and Raja. in Edinburgh at Khusis, a change is needed. Buffet system ought to be introduced. We liked it.

“Don't go with Sona Tours”

★☆☆☆☆

written by on 13/09/2013

So lets start with the positives, the tour I went to commenced on 6th september and Scotland is an immensely beautiful place but it's a shame when your tour guide isn't knowledgable and tells you false information constantly, and when he does give information he is unable to for a sentence properly, hence all he said was pretty useless information to us. It gets worse than that actually since the tour guide goes onto insulting the passengers, who were in fact trying to help him by telling him to communicate with us in English, he said "this is why I don't like Indians" excuse me sir but are Indians the ones not filling your pockets with money?? On top of that he tells us to go visit places on our own, that's fine for younger people however for the elderly who may not be able to communicate effectively or may get lost in a new place I would have thought atleast for their benefit the tour guide would have come along to ensure they don't get lost. Overall I was really really disappointed by the behaviour of the tour guide and believe someone kind, friendly and knowledgable should be employed for this particular tour instead of arrogant individuals who cares not for the passengers.

“Great Paris Weekend - Missed Out on Shopping”

★★★★☆

written by weekendbreak on 27/08/2013

Further to my family's trip to Paris, I would like to drop you a quick note regarding our experience. The hotel, the coach, breakfast and dinner was of a very good standard and quality. Special thanks to our tour manager who was very professional, courteous and we felt went out of his way to ensure we had a pleasant experience. However the only negative comment I would like to make is that no shopping time was allowed. Buying in Disneyland and around Eiffel Tower was not only expensive but very limited. For future tours, can you please fit in shopping on return to Calais. When stopping for lunch, surely we could stop somewhere where there are other shops for an additional 45mins. Others travelling with us, also felt they would benefit from shopping elsewhere in Paris / France. Apart from this, a wonderful experience for the family. Many Thanks Mohammad Hussain & Family

“Highlights of Scotland...or should I say 'downlights'”

★☆☆☆☆

written by on 20/08/2013

I would say that you should only pick Scotland 4 days highlight tour if you want to see how a coach tour should not be done. I may be exaggerating but I am disappointed that the holiday did not reach my expectations. Below are some of the instances that may sound insignificant but in sum contributes to an unwelcome experience. -Tour guide informed that the toilets in the coach are only for emergencies when the driver CAN’T stop; he promised that if we tell him earlier he may be able to make a short service stop. A passenger told him half hour earlier before the last pick up point in Coverntry that he will need to use the loo soon, so please try and accommodate him (around 10am). Driver refused to stop and drove on (there were toilets from the place passengers were picked up). We were told that there will be a stop in fifteen minutes (30 minutes actually, I counted) until then sit back and relax. How are we supposed to relax if our bladders are bursting? On top of that we could not use the emergency toilet ….for it was LOCKED. Key was with the driver and he could not open it. Why was it not open from the beginning? Was the driver so naïve to think that no-one in the space of 4 hours will need to pee? Not even the little kids or aged adults? When questioned, the driver was rude and tour manager tried to soothe us by going through UK laws about coach stopping for services (?) The drivers argument was that he has been waiting as long as us and he does not need to use the loo. Perhaps his stomach his use to it for it is his job? Perhaps he did not drink enough water? Perhaps his argument does not hold enough weight? Eventually when the whole coach protested he did stop making it out to be this huge favour his bestowing us. Overall, for long journeys more stop breaks are required to use the loo, freshen up and stretch out legs. -Second day, itinerary change. Instead of staying at Inverness, we stayed at Aberdeen. I have no personal issue where we stayed but why were we not informed earlier rather than a few hours before we had to go and endure the long drive. At least we would have been mantally prepared for sitting in the coach for so long. -Tour manager claimed Loch ness lake is so deep that no-one knows (not even scientists) how deep it runs. I am no expert by any means but it is strange that in this day and age when we have technology that can travel in space, light years away to carry out research and we cant find out how deep a lake is. One passenger googled the info and found that max depth is 227m. When questioned tour guide said Wikipedia was lying.

I agree with everything said, especially the absence of breaks we got for a long journey. . The good points for that tour was the place Scotland itself, the accommodation and that our main driver was an absolute star.

Totally agree that our driver was a star .. understood our problems & did what was best & not go by the rule books of health and safety & UK laws about when and where a coach can stop

“Disney paris 3 day trip ”

★★★★☆

written by on 19/08/2013

Travelled with sona tours for 3 day Disney and Paris citytour trip.We left 7am Friday and arrived some 7 hours later in Paris ready for the evening cruise. Initially felt journey would be arduous, but have to say coach was excellent and comfortable and with breaks at correct times and 2 hours Ferry crossing broke the journey up nicely, still feeling fresh in the evening, cruise on the seine was fine experience, lasting over an hour seeing the main sights of Paris. Hotel Novotel was as described, fairly spacious family room, very clean and Tidy. Breakfast fairly standard and was acceptable Dinner ...indian meal at 'Bhojan restaurant' was rather good on first night and second night different restaurant, not as good, but still fine. Also catered for Non Veg seperately ... Saturday was Disney day, very busy but still managed to have quite a few rides and the parade at 7 pm,was jaw dropping experience for the kids...really enjoyed it !! If you are vege, than food at disney, dificult and very Expensive so take some pre packed food. Eric (tour guide ) and Saj (driver),both were Excellent and have to say Eric went out of his way to be helpful and even managed to help and appease couple of no reason 'difficult' customers. With a protest march in Paris on sunday,we would have missed some of the itenary ,but driver and Eric took it upon themselves to do the Paris city tour on Saturday night, till late and was very enjoyable, those touches made the trip rather special. So negatives ...difficult to find ..being picky ..guess an extra day in disney would be nice or maybe trip in weekday may reduce the crowds scenario Suggestions: Perhaps some kind of EuroTunnel package could be considered by Sona tours But overall package, definitely recommend ...you won't be disappointed.
