“Don't use SellOffVacations!”

They have unethical business practices. When booking my holiday with friends, we all asked for cancellation insurance. Their agent neglected to take care of that detail on my file, so when I had to cancel for health reasons, I had no coverage. The carrier has offered to give me a 42% credit, but I am still out $1500. This was SellOffVacation’s error, but they are unwilling to refund me the difference. Why go through a travel agent when this is the level of service they provide? I would have been better to book online! Next stop, my Ombudsman and the BBB.

“The worst 5 star resort I've ever been ”

The worst 5 star resort I've ever been. Almost Same food, 7 days, breakfast, lunch and dinner. Average we didn't have water and electricity 2-3 hours a day. Entertainment 2 out of 10. The only restaurant that was open every day was the buffet,the other ones were most nights closed. On the second day we noticed they don't change the bed sheets abd towels. We marked our sheets and guess what! They didn't changed them. I know that we couldn't expect much about Cuba but there must be some standards for a 5 star resort. The only good things were nice beach and wonderful cuban staff. They did their best.

“Worse experience ever”

“Terrible Customer Service”

The customer service, better off saying no customer service, it horrific. They only care about the booking to get your money after that good luck. I booked a vacation when I realized the pricing went down by almost $400, they wanted to charge $500 to get the $400 saving. The real provider - Westjet highlight the change should have cost $200, therefore I would have had a savings of close to $200. The agent was very defensive and would not provide any assistance. I filed a complaint and her manager called providing the same lack of customer service. Both blamed Westjet. Westjet confirmed they were wrong. I do not recommend anyone to use Sell of Vacation.

“Online booking failed but money taken from credit card”

This morning we booked online vacation through this company, booking failed but money on my credit card were put on pending status 2700 canadian dollars, i went to the office in point clair st.jean in person and employee said she cannot help and asked us to leave the office (i have a voice recording when she was letting us go out of the office). Now I cannot use the money to book another vacation since they are on hold. We have already planned our work vacation and paid a baby sitter but now we cannot do anything until the money are free again. Called the bank and was told they cannot help and we have to wait 3-6 days to get our money back. That means i lost my work vacation and in 6 days the high season will strat and prices go very high which we cannot afford. They said issue was due to a technical problem but us as customers don’t care we just need our money back to re-book before loosing our planned work vacations and before high season hits us. Why we are paying a price of technical issues as customers?!!!!

“I got your money, now get the f out”

Booked a vacation with SOV to Havana Cuba in December 2014. Got mugged, lost money and an iPod and had to pay $200 to the Canadian Embassy to get a temporary one. Upon return I didn't ask for a refund, but to be given the employee discount on my next booking, not because they're legally obligated, they have clever lawyers for that, but because it costs them nothing and it's the right thing to do when one of your customers has a (violent) bad experience on a trip you sold them. They haven't even had the courtesy to reply. If this review is still up, I'm still waiting.

“Absolutely terrible customer service. ”

I would avoid the Sell off Vacations from now on. Their customer service is horrible. The agent that I dealt with was unprofessional, rude and dishonest. Never again.

“Poor, cold customer service”

I checked on their site and there was a flight TO Africa. When I called them, a heartless customer bluntly said there aren't doing any tickets to Africa and hung up immediately. Holy smokes was I mortified!!

“Extremely Disappointed - Never again”

NEVER BOOK WITH SELLOFFVACATIONS--WARNING-- I had called selloffvacations on January 2nd to book a package to El Salvador (all inclusive to leave the next week). Agent Hope was the one assisting me with my booking. I inquired some general information about the destination and it all sounded great to me. I wanted to go ahead with the booking, prior to giving my credit card information the agent requested the expiration dates of our passports. I stated that my boyfriends expired in four years from that day, but that mine was expiring on July 4th of that year. She then responded that we both had valid passports for the trip. THE DAY I ARRIVED AT THE AIRPORT, ON JANUARY 9TH, AT 5:00 IN THE MORNING I WAS DENIED ENTRY ONTO THE FLIGHT BECAUSE MY PASSPORT WAS 6 DAYS SHORT OF BEING ELIGIBLE TO FLY. WE WERE GOING TO HAVE TO PAY OVER 500$ A PERSON TO FLY THE NEXT MORNING AS LONG AS MY PASSPORT WAS RENEWED. BUT THEN THERE WOULD BE NO ONE TO PICK US UP FROM THE AIRPORT TO TAKE US TO THE RESORT WHICH WAS MORE THAN 2 HOURS AWAY. THE AGENT HERSELF EVEN ADMITTED THAT I TOLD HER THE EXACT DATE OF MY PASSPORT EXPIRATION. I trusted a "professional" travel agent to assist me with my booking, if she had been doing her job right she could have informed me that I would either have to renew my passport or pick a different destination. This travel agency did nothing to help us or accommodate their unprofessionalism. They did NOT give us our money back, and did not offer an alternative. We would have been happy with a voucher for a trip later in the year, or we would have even taken someones place with little notice if they decided to cancel their trip. NOTHING WAS DONE. I have been on several vacations all inclusive, I would recommend REDTAG.CA, ITRAVEL2000.COM, OR EVEN BELAIR TRAVEL. I have never dealt with such poor customer service. As a customer they should have handled the situation better knowing that I was misinformed. - NEVER AGAIN

The worse customer service i ever encounter, I do not recommended to anyone no matter how "cheap" they could be,after you purchase with them and for any reason something happens forget it, they will never help you, it happens to me and many friends. Do Not Buy Ticket with SELL OFF VACATION - EVER - When I bought the ticket they told me that I will get a discount and that never happened never , they didn't have any valid excuse UNBELIEVABLE. I will go on with this on and on until i get satisfied.This is just the beginning.I paid for 4 star and they send me to 2 star,leaking ceiling, broken toilet,and the door didn't lock well... Sell off customer service didn't care.......

“Very Poor Customer Service.”

Recently booked a trip to the Mayan Riviera with them. I chose a Roulette 5 from Sunquest. The hotel they assigned me was clearly on the Sunquest website as a 4 star resort, and I had booked and paid for a 5 star. Called my travel agent at Sell Off Vacations and she contacted her customer service. The Sell off Customer Service Rep called me and was not at all willing to help in any way. I would not recommend them to anyone. She was rude to me on the phone and wouldn't listen to what I had to say. Once they got my money, they wanted nothing more to do with me. I would warn everyone against SELL OFF VACATIONS and SUNQUEST....Very Poor customer service.
