I Wish I Could Give 0 Stars - Do Not Book With Them!
We couldn’t travel. Had checked in 10 days before departure ur developed Covid symptoms 3 days later. Negative PCR but still had a continuous cough. Called Malta Direct 3 days before departure late afternoon. They couldn’t care less. Did nothing and wouldn’t move our booking even though the Government website tells you not to travel with symptoms.
We contacted Ryan Air to try ourselves to move our flights. They were really helpful and helpful but Malta Direct would not give us the booking email address so we couldn’t change the flights which Ryan Air have up to 2 hours before departure.
They are the worse travel company that I have ever booked with and still can’t believe during a Pandemic they behaved as they did!
Disgraceful.

Booked the Holiday in February and paid the deposit arrived at the Hotel in Malta on the 1st of May to be told that we were not booked in. Malta Direct had got in touch with the hotel in April and were told that there were no vacancy's and offered an alternative which was not followed up. The Hotel was very good and found us a room until we could get in touch with Malta Direct.We had four days in a hotel up a side street after paying for a room with balcony overlooking the Harbour.I have written to Malta Direct with no reply and my phone calls are just hung up.
Customer Service? Training Urgently Required!
I originally booked this holiday in January - paid the deposit with the remainder due on 22nd April - tried calling on 22nd April to pay the balance, unable to contact anyone on any of the telephone numbers provided - emails bounced back...a little concerning however I persisted and finally made contact with our agent on 24th April - made the payment and was told that email confirmation would be received within 10 minutes. Checked all day for a confirmation email, nothing received, spoke to the same person today to enquire about the confirmation email to be told that it was been sent by post....I asked which address it had been sent to and was told she could not provide me with that information as I was not on the booking!! I am the person who booked the holiday, paid for the holiday (she didn't question me when she took my payment!) and the only address she has is mine.....I just wanted to check that she had the address correct as, so far, everything had been conducted via email. I asked her to send me an email and she very abruptly agreed to do so and then hung up the phone! I really hope the holiday is better than the service we've received so far.......

From the first phone to landing at heathrow the whole experience was awesome.The customer service is far superior than any I have come across.The hotel dg seabank was great.There was 11 of us the taxis transfer went like clock work.Everything was planned to great detail.Thank you for all your help.
Do Not Spoil Your Holiday By Using Malta Direct
Never again will we book a holiday with Malta Direct. Their administration skills are terrible. We booked online and paid in full and was told we would get a confirmation e.mail. The next day we got a phone call saying the hotel we had chosen was fully booked for our dates,so we chose another one. Then waited and waited for confirmation. I spent hours trying to speak to someone,only to be kept on hold listening to the same music!! I eventually spoke to two people who said they would sort it but still nothing happened. By this time we were seriously thinking we had lost our money. Then I finally spoke to a person who seemed a bit more efficient and she e.mailed me the confirmation and then promptly told me to ignore it as she had noticed it was wrong and she would sort it. AGAIN I had to spend ages trying to speak to her again because we didn't receive anything. Finally after weeks of waiting we received the confirmation. So then we had to receive our travel documents supposedly three weeks before we travelled. Nothing had come and there were only two weeks to go and I spent ages on the phone again. If I hadn't rang them we wouldn't have been able to travel because they had forgotten to ask for our passport details!!
When we booked into our hotel it turned out someone had booked us two double rooms when we only asked for and paid for one! We noticed the reception people didn't seem overly concerned so we wondered if they are used to things like this happening!!
Also be careful if you book any excursion through the company, the driver of one that we booked forgot to pick us up and we missed half of the tour!!
Despite all that we enjoyed our holiday, the Preluna and Spa Hotel was nice and Malta is a lovely place and we would go there again but definately would not book with Malta Direct.
