DIY holiday

Recently travelled to Lanzarote with Jet2 holidays.
Checkin at Edinburgh airport fast efficient and friendly.
Good flight but once in Lanzarote had to wait on the plane for stairs to arrive.
Waited 'ages'on luggage.
Difficult to locate jet2 reps who gave vague directions to coaches.
Waited 'ages' on the coach' rep finally appeared and said that 4 passengers were 'missing' presumably taken a taxi - sensible people!
Coach transfer was unescorted - driver went to a hotel where no one got off!
Given a leaflet with emergency contact number and some excursion info.
No welcome meeting.
Jet2 rep visited our hotel for 30 mins once a week but when I went to see them about a minor issue there was a note to say no visit this week! as on a training exercise!!!!!! Surely this could be done some other time or someone else should cover.
Had to phone the helpline to deal with my query.
If this had been my first visit to Lanzarote I would have felt a bit let down not knowing much about the island or the local area - I thought that was what the reps were there for.
Paid for a jet2 holiday and feel I would have been better booking a flight/ taxi/ accomodation seperately.
