I received a call within minutes of my flight booking telling me that I needed to pay an additional 700 dollars. I tried to work with the customer service agents but they said if I wanted to cancel it would be 200 dollars. It was their error and wanted to charge me extra to "secure" my tickets because the price that they advertised and confirmed in the e-mail actually wasn't available. I've worked with many travel sites over the past 10 years and have never had this issue. I am working with my credit card company to dispute the charge as they are inflexible and unable to see their error.
