“Cheapcostholidays. One star company but a zero rated...”

We booked with this 'company' having seen the holiday advertised on teletext. We were quoted a price which we accepted and were asked to pay a deposit. We were then transferred to another assistant who immediately added another £210 to the price and having been requested to sign a disclaimer we were told that we were obliged to continue with the booking. The flight was to be with Ryan air and 10 kg hand luggage was included but a further £50 was required to upgrade to 20 kg hold luggage. One week later we were asked to pay the remainder of the cost of the holiday but were then informed that the price of 20 kg hold luggage was now £110 each. Having looked at the Ryan air site the charge would appear to be £25 per person for 20 kg. it seemed that every time we entered into conversation with this company the price in some shape or form would increase. We cancelled and the whole matter has been referred to trading standards, Visa card , teletext, who by the way can't find any record of the booking, and is also in the hands of the police. I would urge anyone to think twice before dealing with this company as you are very possibly going to be very, very disappointed.

The same thing has happened to me! Booked holiday with them was told it was non refundable it was suppose to be 4 star hotel. They confirmed the booking n price then passed me to another agent who added extra charges of £58 per person. Paid the deposit

Then got a call at 9.00 pm the the agent said the hotel booked was over booked and offered another hotel which he said was better n same as the 4 star one. He offered free transfers n upgrade on the room. When I checked the reviews of the hotel it was a 3 star with very bad reviews

Now they are not cancelling the holiday and refunding my deposit.

So sorry to hear of your experience with this company. We were fortunate that we refused to pay the outstanding balance but are still endeavouring to recover the £400 deposit. We subsequently rebooked our holiday with Thomas Cooke and are looking forward to an Autumn break in Greece.

Unfortunately I have had a very similar experience - do not book with this company!!! Booked my holiday on 2/09/18- they rang back 3 hours later to advise that they had been unable to book the hotel of my choice-offered me 3 others as alternatives all of which I felt where unsuitable. The trip was for my 50th birthday and one of their alternative suggestions was the BCM Hotel in Palma which I understand is full of young ravers!! When I asked to cancel they said they couldn't as the flights had already been booked. A refund of £540 was offered which I accepted but this has never been received!! I too have referred to trading standards

Decided to go with cheap cost holidays after receiving numerous emails from cheakytrip. My experience was horrendous. All staff speak broken English and I was told that someone would ring me back to confirm my details were correct before taking card payment. After an hour I was called back and informed my flights involved a stop off. I then told them I wouldn’t be going through with the booking and was told it was already booked and payment taken without my authority. I was first told I couldn’t get a refund. After a lot of phone calls I received an email saying they would refund honey minus £200 cancellation fee. My advise would be only ever use reputable travel companies and not people like these. I should of been told that my flight to Tenerife would take 7hoursand involved a stop off enroute before they took a card payment.

“Shocking ”

After being given a quoted price of just over £1100 for 2 adults and 1 child we made a deposit to only find out that an extra £150 will be due in admin charges which was not made aware at the outset! Upon dispute of these charges and wanting to cancel we was told that it was too late and we would have to pay these charges! Do not trust this Company whatsoever. We have luckily paid via credit card so hoping all will be sorted so will definitely not be booking with these c on artists again!

“STAY AWAY....... They are a joke”

STAY AWAY they are a complete joke every single thing you ask he is adding money to it. My sister she is only 18 booking the holiday herself and she is a foreigner so not sure about lots of the stuff. Ask for the date we wanted to travel and he told us is £20 extra pp to the advertise price and when looking for hotel, just been told the advertise hotel is not available; put us in another hotel which is miles away from town center, he provide her with flight detail, is an evening flight and by the time we reach hotel will be midnight, this is only a short city break, which mean she loose a day in the city if she want to change to earlier flight it will be £50 extra pp. the final straw was they charge £15 for using debit card!!!! After paying she told me about it so i am not happy and call them wanted to cancel the holiday as they are not honest. he told me that the holiday is all booked and is not refundable, I had challenge the debit card charges and he in the end agreed to take off the charge and according to him as a good will gesture he is going to put us in hotel nearer to town. 30mins later got another phone call from them and said good news i can put you on earlier flight free of charge, at that point i though great. look at the confirmation email notice that they had not put the full name on the flight booking, i am worry that airline might refuse boarding due to name don't match with travel document. he told me is fine, but he is not guaranteeing it when i say if i been refuse boarding will you be responsible. then he said what name is on your travel document, and he is charging £10 each for changing the name. Got another phone call next day telling me that the flight that we are originally on is no longer available and we are travelling 1 day later. What a lot of rubbish and he is still trying to explain us about how things can change etc. NOT HAPPY..........feel like being rip off...........and the hassle..............

“All 4 hotels given were a minumun of 30 mins bus from...”

All 4 of the supposedly 3 star hotels we were given in Italy were not even barely worth 2 star. The hotel in Rome was a 15 minute walk from the closest metro station, the on ein Venice was 2 separate bus and tram journeys from the centre. All they have to do is look at reviews of the hotels they use and see all the bad and negatives and they would not use them again.

Hi..cheap cost holidays has offered a bargain stay at paradise bay in Malta..looks amazing..but not sure to book with this company after read couple of reviews..what was your holiday with them like in the end?...

Booked with these on teletext only to be hounded by phone call after phone call was told that they had overbooked the hotel and that we had to pay £30 extra per person for their mistake only to check myself on the Internet to find out that the hotel that they were trwere in to change us to was cheaper had a much worse review and on top of that it was a complete lie because when we checked there was PLENTY of rooms available at the first hotel when we told him this on the phone he's responded conveniently by saying ok I've just checked and I can change you to the hotel for free do not use this fraudster he will take all your money and give you invoices for flights but not real bookings!! If you have booked then please check everything is on the up and up be causes chances are it won't be. Get in touch with your bank.

Booked a Jet2 holiday in September through CheapcostHolidays. Have a couple of questions I need answered - nobody returns my emails, the phones go to voicemail or the number is not available. After reading these reviews I am feeling quite anxious about our holiday! Also, they want to charge us £50 each for our hold luggage but this is normally included with Jet2 holidays. Managed to speak to someone last night who was very abrupt and told me I should check in online with Jet2 but obviously I don't have the correct reference number. Feel quite anxious about this! Any advice?
