Orlando - Hawthorn Suites - A Larger Than Average
Orlando - Hawthorn Suites - A larger than average suite with 2 comfy double beds and pull-out sofa bed in lounge. Puffy pillows, clean sheets and beds made daily. Kitchenette with fridge, micro, dishwasher and coffee maker. Coffee supplied and dishwasher filled and switched on daily. Powerful shower and fresh towels changed daily. Also, poolside towels supplied.

Stayed at the Hawthorn Suites July 2004. I would not class this hotel as a 4* as stated in the Airtours brochure would be just 3*. Rooms were spacious but do have a musty smell to them. Maid did change the towels daily but cleaning the floor was not done properly. The staff were friendly and helpful. The swimming pool had too much chlorine in it which was very strong in the air also would burn our eyes. Breakfast Buffet was complimentary at this hotel but I was not impressed with it...they had little to offer in choice and was served on paper plates and plastic forks.
Im glad that you had a wonderful stay and that you rated your room as of high standard, but at the time when we went these things were as stated in my review. I was not the only person that had complained. I agree with you that the trolley was handy being just outside the hotel and the courtesy bus to disney was good, but I was very dissapointed with the hotel in itself.
Do not agree with this review. We had a wonderful stay here. The hot buffet breakfast was great and it was free. The trolley stopping outside the door was very handy and our room was always cleaned to the highest standard every day.

The Hawthorn Suites was a lovely place to stay - except for the fact the manager was more interested in where my child go hurt - rather than my screaming 4 year old.

(2002) The Suites Were Big And Very Clean In This
(2002) The suites were big and very clean in this 4* Hawthorn just off International Drive. We had a free hot buffet breakfast every morning which we ate by the pool. The shuttle service to Disney was free twice daily and as the I Ride trolley stopped just outside a car was not needed. The only down side to this hotel was that there was no bar but we found one just around the corner. The maids also cleaned the rooms daily with towel changes and clean bed linen. I would recommend this hotel to anyone wanting a very good value for money holiday in Orlando.
