Complete Disappointment
Crowne Plaza Marlow doesn't even warrant 1 star! Absolutely disaster from start to finish and unable to deal with issues as they arise.
1. fully paid prior to our stay however was forced to pay a second time on arrival as I did not carry my credit card with me. Took over a week to receive a refund.
2. Ordered room service for 3 drinks and a pizza. 1 Drink received was wrong and food completely inedible. Returned food and drink and was still charged for both. Was provided with a 'complimentary' drink which then appeared on the bill at an additional £9! £48 room service bill for 2 drinks.
3. Duty managers have no authority. On check out issues relating to the bill where raised. it was agreed to remove the 'complimentary' drink charge and a manager would contact to discuss the food bill. I settled the reduced bill and later received a call to say they were charging my card with the extra amount! Absolute disgraceful and fraudulent. Was told a manager would call and of course this never happened.
4. Was looking forward to spa treatments however no spaces were available until January despite it appearing nearly empty. The edges of the pool are covered in mildew and looks tired with minimal faculities.
5. The hotel staff were rude and to avoid a scene just debited my card after leaving knowing there was nothing I could do. When a manager was called over they went into a separate room to discuss my complaint whilst I was left standing there. I found this rude and unprofessional.
Overall a sham, completely ruined my weekend and would not recommend to anyone. An utter disgrace.

Terrible Wedding Service
I had my wedding reception at the Crowne Plaza Marlow on 26th May 2013 and I certainly won't be recommending them to anyone. At the start of the process, the lady in charge of events suggested dry-hire, which is an option we had not considered previously. She made it sound very straightforward and it was certainly cheaper, so we proceeded with the booking. Soon after this, we were advised that this member of staff would not be liaising with us anymore and from that point on we had to deal with a string of unhelpful and disorganised members of staff. We never had one stable point of contact throughout the whole process. Unfortunately things did not improve and in fact went from bad to worse. On the day of the wedding, the water feature was not working in the lake. Our caterers reported that the kitchens, reception room and toilets were filthy on their arrival from the previous wedding. They were in fact so bad, that the caterer had to draft in extra staff to clean, an extra expense that we had to pay for. One of the ovens and some of the fridges were not working. In addition, the toilets were not cleaned throughout the day and members of the bridal party had to continually ask at reception for toilet roll, hand towels etc to be replenished. This service was promised to us faithfully. Many of our guests have told us that when they tried to check in on their arrival, they were advised that they would not be able to as the rooms were not yet turned around from the previous wedding the day before. This delay carried on throughout the day. I could go on, but I am constrained by the word limit.

Amazing Hotel In A Super Location With Friendly Staff
We went for a local break. We were pleasantly surprised with the hotel, location and staff. We had a great time and used the spa facilities. The rooms were spacious and very clean. The bathrooms were also spacious.
We had breakfast included within the price of our stay and I must say the breakfast was delicious. I am a veggetarian, however, there was plenty of choices for a veggie breakfast. I am also a fussy eater but I can say I thoroughly enjoyed the breakfast.
It was definitely very good value for money and a nice relaxing place. I plan to go there again with the girls for a break.

I Cannot Emphasis How Important It Is That Staff H
I cannot emphasis how important it is that staff help the guests feel as comfortable as possible and Crowne Plaza, Marlow provides the best care I have ever experienced. I have stayed in many top class hotels all over the country but I have never stayed for such a long period of time and also so frequently. This is definately the cheapest and most relaxing holiday I can think of! I came to this hotel for relaxation, therapy and work. I managed to do this and much more. My child has thoroughly enjoyed himself during his stays here. He loved the play areas and the gardens. He made friends with all the staff who were absolutely fantastic. The managers were always at hand in case we needed anything. Room service were excellent, they called up to make sure we had all the things we had asked for as soon as it arrived. Last but not least, the breakfast buffet is excellent. Freshly made, a huge variety of food and drink is available. I would recommend visiting this buffet.
The most beautiful aspect of this hotel is the view that greets you as you enter their gardens. It is magnificant and to top it off within walking distance of a few steps there is an excellent spa with the full treatment range and a swimming pool with a kids pool, sauna, indoor/outdoor hot tubs. There are updates magazines available daily. There is an excellent club room available for the hotels clubcard guests where you are served complimentary breakfast, coffee, snacks and newspapers throughout the day. I will definitely visit this hotel again.
