I Recently Stayed At The Hotel Caribe Resort For 7
I recently stayed at the Hotel Caribe Resort for 7 nights. I must admit I was surprised to read the problems encountered by other reviewers as my family had a great time. We had requested a 'quiet room' during the booking of our holiday and to be honest couldn't have been allocated a better positon(end of terrace) Directly under our room was a store for linen/bedding, so we didn't notice any residual noise from below us and we never had any trouble from our temporary 'neighbours' next door. I suppose having problems with unruly behavoiur of this kind is totally random and the only thing to do is to request a new room with the hotel.
The only initial problem we had was that the previous occupants of our room had taken the batteries for the electronic safe. This issue was swiftly resolved by the reception staff with batteries being installed before I had completed the walk back from reception to my room.
We also didn't encounter the problems of booking the restaurants like other fellow reviewers appear to have experienced. This is simply because with a young child with our party we didn't utilise this service, so I couldn't possibly comment if this part of the Hotel's service is of a good or poor standard. In short the Hotel was of a good standard, the prices for drinks was about what I expected. The price of bottled soft drinks for children was a bit steep but a quick walk into town to purchase orange squash and mineral water gets around this issue.
The theme park was good, it wasn't as busy as I had anticipated. I had visited previously and was pleased that a few additions had been made to the park since my last visit. We enjoyed the water park and I also won a pink panther
The little shuttle train is useful if it's at the stop, but to be honest if it's not outside your hotel, you will probably beat it to the theme park as it's only a short distance to the theme park.
All in all a good holiday, price in brochure will be more expensive than many other hotels in Salou but you save lots of money with your free pass into the theme park and the bus ride to the park you may need to catch. I also stayed half-board so you can fill your boots and have a proper good nose-bag after your excersions in the theme park. Beware of the Furious Baco, in the theme park, it does 0−83.9 mph in 3.5 seconds and I nearly lost my veneers as my mouth and jaw rattled about uncontrollably

We Had A Seven Night Stay Here And Were Woken Up E
We had a seven night stay here and were woken up every night by screaming kids and the other hotel guests returning to their rooms at 2, 3 4 in the morning - had to move rooms and then had leaking air con unit. Reception staff were rubbish and spoke little English. We were not told that the water park was closed. The park itself was disgusting with chewing gum all over the walls and dirt and rubbish everywhere. Salou is an awful place full of drunkards. Will never go back there as long as I live.

We Came Back From The Caribe Resort Today After Sp
We came back from the Caribe Resort today after spending 2 weeks there. I could not find anything wrong. There was 4 adults 2 children aged 5 and 8 and we all had the best time but are very tired as there is so much to do. The hotel was great, friendly, clean, meals were great drinks a little expensive just like anywhere else, theme park is great went everyday water park also great but only got one day as it was closed to the 24th. Booking for next year. You can read all these comments good and bad I could not agree with any of the bad points. With some of the comments (sometime there is just no pleasing some people).
I recently stayed at this resort and had a great time and we are thinking of re-booking with my brother and his family

How To Lose Weight At Port Aventura. Club Sa
How to lose weight at Port Aventura.
Club San Juan Hotel Caribe.
Upon arriving at the resort you are greeted with a warm welcome. The Port Aventura park is magnificent with rides for all ages nestled between beautiful gardens and landscapes. The water park is fantastic with lots of slides and water splashes to keep the mightiest water babe happy.
The transfer service between the hotels and the park is farcical, a 5 minute ride can turn into a half hour wait in the sun. In the morning the roof of one of the trains collapsed, it was the same train we returned on the previous evening. I pointed out the support to my wife, which had been poorly repaired with a few welds and a bit of parcel tape wrapped around it. Luckily it was on it's way to pick the guests up, if it would have happened 2 minutes later it would have caused serious injury to guests. It would have been inevitable, if this is how a critical roof support was repaired it doesn't bode well for the rest of the park.
The first day we didn't arrive in time to make a reservation for one of the many restaurants in the resort, so we travelled to the neon lights of Salou and ate out. On the second day we booked the beach club restaurant only to be told with an hour to go that we couldn't eat there but we could eat at the Hotel Carribe a la Carte restaurant. We couldn't have our previous table time but we could have a table later as the restaurant was fully booked. This transpired to mean the restaurant was only accepting four tables at any one time that evening as the staffing levels were so low the following day. The main two A La Carte restaurants at the resort hotels closed for the rest of the week. The choice of restaurants was now limited to the Mexican restaurant at the El Paso Hotel or the Beach Club or wait in the queue for an hour at the self service buffet, which was already busy before the choice was made to close both A La Carte Restaurants.
We chose the beach club restaurant and were told to be in reception 30 minutes before our reservation for a car to take us to the beach club. 40 minutes later our car arrived the apology was made that he was also the only receptionist on duty as well as the transfer driver. The beach club food was a throw back to the 1980's fusion cuisine with nothing for children to eat. After some discussion a plate of veal, without the pigs feet truffle sauce, was produced.
The following morning we arose early and went and saw our guest relations manager to book the Mexican restaurant for the evening. We were informed that they were only allowing 2 bookings and other guests had already booked these. After some discussion we were finally allowed to go and eat at the Mexican restaurant. As for the other guests they would go hungry. The general consensus from the front line staff was that they had informed the management of the problems but they never received any kind of response from them. I felt sorry for the staff who had to deal with so many complaints because it wasn't there fault. Someone was to blame, these bookings were made in advance so they knew how many people were coming but they still chose to close restaurants and maintain low staffing levels for the purpose of penny pinching? I don't know if it is incompetence? I don't know if it is apathetic? I don't know what it is but something is clearly wrong at Port Aventura.
