Costa Teguise, Occidental Grand Teguise Playa

The Occidental Grand Teguise Playa in Lanzarote is not really a 4 star hotel. It isn't too bad, but it could be a lot better!

The food and the location is good, and the views from the room were fantastic, but they are very expensive, and at breakfast they are horrible. The costumers sometimes had to set the table (happened 2 times) because there weren't enough staff to do everything!

I would recommend this hotel if you didn't have to pay too much. I paid 1000 Euros for 2 people on a half-board basis!

Costa Teguise, Occidental Grand Teguise Playa - Our week was most enjoyable and we loved the hotel. Evening meals were enjoyed at other places, particularly La Provence (try the Tournedos Rossini) and Leani's. Good tours available through Lutons Last Minute Travel. If you're lucky you may get Ian as the tour guide - a laugh a minute and much information as well. Try the Grand Tour. We went in 2003 and stayed in the Tahiche Apartments. They were good, but the Occidental is in a class of its own. We would return with no hesitation. Nothing is too much trouble for the staff.
