Caleta de Fuste, Puerto Caleta Apartments

Going by the reviews on the Puerto Caleta Apartments in Fuerteventura, I was informed not to leave anything outside the apartments as they are next to a busy road, and anything could be pinched at a drop of a hat. I took this advice thinking everything would be OK. So when my partner noticed half her wardrobe missing, we were shocked to say the least, and gutted to find half my daughter"s clothes missing too (my daughter is 17 months old). The other thing that annoyed us was the kids pool was 3 meters away from a flight of stairs (at least 20 stairs), and I wasn't prepared to risk my daughter's life. Thomas cook rated the apartments as family friendly with a couple of stairs. RUBBISH!!

Puerto Caleta Apartments - I went to Caleta de Fuste in Sept 02 and have booked to go again in May 04, so they must be doing something right !

Apartment was clean and tidy on arrival, but you have to keep it that way otherwise you get visited by ants! We saw a couple of cockroaches and be warned, they can fly (didn't know that until I was dive bombed by one one night).

I'd recommed the Slow Boat to eat and there's a Mexican too with the biggest range of tequilla I've seen !

Crazy golf on the sea front is fantastic and feeding the small fish on the seafront is also good.

If you get the chance, ride the camels and go for a walk up to Chipmunk mountain - speaks for itself!
