It Was Not A Bad Hotel The Pool Wasnt Great But Th

It was not a bad hotel the pool wasnt great but that was more to do with being near the beach and lots of flies hanging round.

The food was basic and edible but it did seem to be mash poatato and spinach everyday

Bars nearby was ok although the toilets could do with more maintainance.

Also there is a house nearby where dog barks all night so if your at front of hotel that can be annoying

The President Hotel In Alcudia Hotel Is Rated As 4

The President Hotel in Alcudia hotel is rated as 4 star by Thomson. I would not agree, as the rooms were very basic. Bathrooms could do with refurbishing. The hotel carpets were very smelly and old. The pool area was very cramped, and not big enough for the size of the hotel. The only good thing I have to say about this hotel is that the staff were extremely friendly, and the reps catered for all ages and did a great job entertaining the kids. A definite NO if you are a couple.

We Stayed At The President Hotel In Majorca For 6

We stayed at the President Hotel in Majorca for 6 days. Thankfully we got a room on the top floor overlooking the Mediterranean. A gorgeous view, and gorgeous balcony with chairs and a small table. It was fairly quiet and good for families.

Unfortunately the food wasn't that good. No shampoo or conditioner in the hotel rooms! Smokers everywhere. Topless women lying around the pool.

We were very close to the historic town of Alcudia, which was fascinating. And close to Port Polentia which we visited. We also went on the most stunning mountain hike, which ended at a gorgeous cove where there were just a few people.

The President Hotel Is Nice, But Food And Entertai

The President Hotel is nice, but food and entertainment let it down badly. I'm not fussy but it was really not good.

My Friend And I Have Just Spent A Really Pleasant

My friend and I have just spent a really pleasant week at the Hotel President in Aucanada, our first visit to Majorca. We arrived at 5 am, the staff were very friendly and pleasant, even at that time of day. The rooms were basic but comfortable and the maid service excellent, with a change of linen and towels mid-week. The hotel itself is clean and efficiently run. The reception staff were very helpful and knowledgeable about places to visit. The dining room/bar staff were also friendly and very efficient. There was always plenty of food provided, although we found it a little bland for our taste and, despite being "all inclusive", we chose to dine out a couple of nights, once in Alcudia and, on the last evening, at the restaurant across the road from the hotel (La Terrassa) which was absolutely fantastic, both for the food, the view and the service.

The only criticism of the hotel we would make is the fact that the public areas (except the dining room) were very smoky which made sitting in the bar and reception rather uncomfortable for two non-smokers.

We booked a car for four days before travelling to Majorca and made excellent use of it by driving inland and to other coastal areas. Valdemossa and Pollenca were highlights and are definitely worth a visit. The drive to the headland at Formentor is also well worthwhile, although the very windy and narrow road needs to be treated with great respect!

We didn't sit around the pool so can't comment on that aspect of the hotel facilities. We did have a few hours on the beach on our first day and would agree with the comments made by other reviewers that there is a shortage of sun loungers. However, this would probably have been avoided if people had been willing to relinquish their loungers for the hours they went back to the hotel to eat/sleep and reclaim them on their return. Rather selfish.

All in all, we had a very enjoyable week in Majorca and the Hotel President. However, be advised that Aucanada is at the end of a headland and, as such, is rather remote. Do consider booking car hire before you go if you want to be independent and not have to rely on the local public bus service (which stops its service to Aucanada at 6.45 pm). I'm not sure about the free bus service that the hotel offers but would guess it runs until later in the evening.

After Reading Poor Reviews About The President Hot

After reading poor reviews about the President Hotel in Aucanada I wondered where on earth we would be going. The hotel is really nice. There was food available all day, the main meals were lovely and the chefs tried to cater for all! I will definitely be going back.

I wish we used the beach and bar across the road more rather than the last day. Idyllic, sitting over the sea with a chilled lager. Enjoy the good points not the bad. Great for kids although we didn't take ours this time but definitely next time. The location is far out but a good brisk walk will get you into lovely Peuto Alcudia.

I Will Never Stay In The President Hotel Again, To

I will never stay in the President Hotel again, to hear the staff tell us it's is going to be a 5* hotel in 3years is laughable. If I had the time I would set up a campaign to close this hotel. I got worried when I saw chefs sliding down the paths on wheelie bin.s I'm 24 and the entertainment for people my age is zero, in fact the entertainment is for those between the age of 0 to 5, the rest of you forget it. We paid around £300 for this holiday and spent around £1000 just to make it enjoyable. Please read this and don't go to this hotel or shack. As for Alcudia, it is beautiful, couldn't wish for more. happy holiday

I Will Never Return To The President Hotel Unless

I will never return to the President Hotel unless it is being demolished or it fell into the sea, this was by far the worst holiday we have ever had. We returned to the UK with Salmonella not a nice souvenir to bring back.

Aucanada, President Hotel - I Returned To Aucanda

Aucanada, President Hotel - I returned to Aucanda on a trip down memory lane after 9 years and apart from a splendid new golfcourse {which I guess is exclusive} nothing has changed and apart from the battered trees from the mother of all storms three years ago the landscape remains ok for a week but hard work for two weeks.....if you are there to chill then you will succeed but the resort has not upgraded for some time. The President Hotel should be commended on their service and more over on their patience and professionalism. Some Brits just don't travel well and the sight of two 14 year old girls kicking a vending machine at waist height was a sight to behold, no wonder the Spaniards look anxiously when a new coachload arrives. The Hotel has great facilities and things seemed to run very smoothly.

The Entertainment At The President Hotel Was Satis

The entertainment at the President Hotel was satisfactory and good for children but older teenagers and adults were easily bored. The small, cramped car park was a fair walk from the hotel. The view from the balcony was amazing - the bay. Some of the staff were rude but some were very amusing and chatty. Over all it was a decent holiday and i would go back, but not to the same hotel.
