Lisbon Is A Lovely Old Style City With Enough To S
Lisbon is a lovely old style city with enough to see for a long weekend (we went over Xmas), Most things are within decent walking distance or tram ride. Ensure you visit the cathederal, The tower,The marina and the castle. Go to the Barrio Alto for good food and local bars. Also nice people who are always friendly and well spoken in English
Good central location for the hotel, nice staff and clean hotel and only 13 euro's taxi ride from the airport.

We Stayed Here In Lissbon Mundial For A Week And T
We stayed here in Lissbon Mundial for a week and thought the room excellent value for money with amazing views over the city. We appreciated having clean fluffy towels every day and towelling bathrobes. A comfortable bed and obviously newly decorated so the experience was generally a good one. The only downside was the breakfast - tinned fruit in abundance, bland cooked breakfasts and poor coffee. Some decent bread and jam and a pot of fresh coffee would have been more than enough!

I Had The Misfortune To Stay At The Mundial In Lis
I had the misfortune to stay at the Mundial in Lisbon.
The room was so small that you couldn't even lay out a suitcase.
The bathroom was so small that it didn't have a bath - just a very small shower.
The room where breakfast was served was so small that we had to queue for 10 minutes before being served.
The staff were disinterested - one was reading a book while I was waiting to speak to him and the maid failed to make the bed or change the toilet roll on any occasion.
Overall, I have no idea how they can claim to be a 4* hotel - it was awful!
Your choice but, I'd stay somewhere (anywhere) else!
Interesting view point.
Do you think it is right that a paying guest should be given a rooom that they should have to complain about before being given an acceptable one? In a 4* hotel as well?
I think that the hotel should give you the best room that they have - within the price you have paid of course. If rooms are so small that you cannot lay out a suitcase or the shower is so small that you cannot turn around, they should knock rooms together to make them larger.
This hotel is listed as a 4 star hotel - rooms should not be cramped, the housekeeping staff should make the bed every day and you should not have to queue to get into breakfast - these are all characteristics of a 2 star hotel, NOT a 4 star hotel. Not what we paid for or expected.
I have stayed in many hotels in my time and this represents the worst quality for the price. The hotel has NO facilities that demonstrate that it should be 4* - Small rooms, small bathrooms, no gym, no pool, queue every day for breakfast, poor quality housekeeping.
These are my views and experiences - if the person who has stated that he feels they are wrong, I would love to hear why - simply saying 'Ive stayed here loads of times and its fine' isn't really a good dismissal of my points that the hotel should be a 2*
Have used Mundial for the last 7 yr prior to travelling to Algarve.
Only one bad room (an odur that was disagreeable), which was changed by front desk staff.
I use the parking garage free of charge.
I have no problem with this hotel.
Complainer should ask hotel staff to change room immediately rather than be a disgruntled visitor.
