The Hotel Is Clean And Basic Thats All You Need In
The hotel is clean and basic thats all you need in such an idilic place. Tavernas are every where, beaches are gorgeous, weather great, the airport, which is quite near the hotel we have found not to be a problem. I can truly recommend this hotel to anybody looking for a quiet laid back holiday.

Value for money this was excellent. Rooms very clean and staff great. Exceptionally quiet. As a result the hotel wasn't busy enough to have the chef working the week we went, but not a problem. Anyone complaining about this hotel I can only imagine are wanting 5 star luxury, forgetting they have paid a bargain price. The hotel cost us approx £80 each b&b for the week - and at that price we could not fault the place!

All In All We Enjoyed The Place, We Met Some Lovel
All in all we enjoyed the place, we met some lovely people and we all got on really well which helps.
It is a very quiet place so make sure you hire a car.
There is nothing for the kids to do so make sure they take plenty to keep themselves amused.
I must admit I liked it even though I wasn't sure at first.
I would go again.

I Would Not Recommend This Hotel To My Worst Enemy
I would not recommend this hotel to my worst enemy. It is the worst place I've ever stayed, staff were so rude would not help at all all they were interested in was taking all your money off you defo get a car if you stay in Kefalonia because the rest off island is quality beware off the earthquakes though these can be a bit scary especially when one flattened the place in 1953.

The Blue Horizon Hotel Is A Very Friendly Hotel Se
The Blue Horizon Hotel is a very friendly hotel set in peaceful surroundings in Kefalonia. It is ideal if you want a relaxing, chilled out holiday. We had the pool to ourselves most of the holiday. The best restaurant is Acropolis. It is a good walk from the hotel, but worth it. The Patio area is a good place to watch the sun set. I would recommend car hire to explore the island.

The Blue Horizon Hotel Is Close To The Airport, An
The Blue Horizon Hotel is close to the airport, and the transfers are short (around 10 minutes).
It is very quiet (apart from the odd aeroplane flying overhead, which to be honest, is more of an interest than a hindrance).
The hotel is very isolated, and there are only a couple of restaurants/tavernas for you to choose from. As a couple, we like a quieter holidays, but for us the resort itself (Svoronata) was way too quiet, with very little to do or see. There were a couple of beaches (Ammes was where we mostly frequented), and there were good facilities at the beach, ie. sunbeds and umbrellas, and a a place where you could get a drink or snack.
The Blue Horizon could be a very good hotel if not for the nonchalant behaviour of its owners, and the people who work there. As guests, we felt like a hindrance to them. Customer service is appalling, and they appear to have no interest whatsoever in trying to make your stay as comfortable and enjoyable as it should be. No effort is made.
If you just want a place to lay your head for the night, but not much else, then that's about all it's good for. Also, there isn't a decent supermarket/mini-market in the area, and there aren't any facilities within the hotel (other than between the specified meal times for breakfast (8-9:30am), lunch (11am-2pm) and dinner (7-10pm).
I would not recommend this resort or this hotel to anyone of my friends. I would, however like to mention that other parts of the island are exceptionally beautiful and have lots to offer, ie. Argostoli, Lassi and Fiskardo etc. They are all wonderful places to visit. I just wish we'd known a little bit more about the island and what it had to offer before we booked.
Hello, my wife and i spent 1 week in this hotel!! If you can call it that the people there are so unfriendly is unbelievable unless that is you spend all your holiday on the premises and all your money there. On one particular day my wife asked for a tomatoe with her so called breakfast they refused her one!! Don't stay here unless you like to be very bored
We had a fantastic time at the Blue Horizon, the staff couldnt have been more friendly, if you cant help yourself a little on holiday then its not worth going. Also if you had such comments to make why didnt you tell the staff i am sure they would have done all they could to make your stay better.
Anyway the hotel is fab,the bar is good value and the measures are huge...
The hotel is clean and there is karaoke every Thursday.
We would recommend this hotel to everyone.
Cant wait to go back next year.

We Will Visit The Blue Horizon Hotel In Kefalonia
We will visit the Blue Horizon Hotel in Kefalonia again. We used the facilities of the nearby Irinna Hotel with its lovely pool and garden. Forget the La Calma; it's not a good atmosphere and the wine is expensive (18 Euros for a bottle of Rose). Do eat at the hotel though, as it's good, cheap and well presented. The Al Helos beach is blue ribbon and fairly close. Do hire a car, as the island is so beautiful and it's easy to get around.
Fabulous holiday!

We Had An Excellent 2 Weeks At The Blue Horizon Ho
We had an excellent 2 weeks at the Blue Horizon Hotel in Kefalonia. We would recommend the Svoronata resort if you like it quiet, which we do. Go to Ai Helis beach which is about a 10 minute walk, but worth it. It's quieter than Ammes, and the sea is warmer and calmer. There are about 7 or 8 restaurants within walking distance. GIANT portions at Ammes restaurant, and EXCELLENT food in Fois. Really friendly hotel, and they can't do enough for you, but you get left alone if you stay around the pool. Visit Argostoli on a Friday evening. It's very lively, as all the locals go on this night.
We thoroughly enjoyed this holiday, and it didn't rain once!

Svoronata Is Very Close To The Airport, But With F
Svoronata is very close to the airport, but with flights only on 2 days, and 4 flights during those days. They didn't bother us at all, and the kids seemed to think they were fun.
The good thing about this is that the transfer takes 10 minutes! It's a lovely quiet area and a 15 minute taxi to the capital Argostoli if you want a bit more nightlife without it on your doorstep.
The Blue Horizon Hotel is kept clean, and air conditioning is available in all rooms for 14 Euros. Ammes beach is only 10 minutes walk, and if that seems too far, the pool is pretty good so you wouldn't even need to move. You can also use the other pools in the area if you want to. There are enough good tavernas within 10 minutes walk to try several different ones. One of the most enjoyable holidays we've had.
