Sunrise Hotel Protaras

The staff at the Sunrise Hotel in Protaras were friendly and helpful, and they spoke good English. We were allocated sunbeds for the duration of holiday (slip the pool man some Cypriot pounds and move into a prime slot as people vacate the hotel). It was clean, both inside and outside the hotel. The grassy area beside the pool was watered every day, and rubbish was picked up.

Food - we stayed half board and had a different theme every 7 days i.e. Polynesian, flambe, Cypriot, oriental and Italian, to name but a few. All good choices and not a poorly tummy in sight!

The hotel is situated off main street, where there are plenty of very good restaurants (good value and quality), lots of souvenir shops, and it is so quiet that you wouldn't know it was even there. The hotel is also very closely positioned to the best sloping sandy beach, which is very safe and excellent for snorkeling. There were lots of water sports on the beach, and the hotel was visited daily by the local diving school (with a taster dive for free).

The public beach needed a rake as it was subject to quite a few fag butts, but it was a A really fantastic holiday. It was so good we are booking for 2007!

The Sunrise hotel is a highly recommended Hotel, and probably the best hotel in Protaras. Clean, central and right on the beach, making this an ideal choice.
