Outstanding!

All I can say they're superb! Viajero is one of the best rent a car! Has reasonable rate and outstanding staff! You can really experienced the difference! I love them! I will recommend this to my friends and relatives!

I got introduced to Viajero by a friend and through a very people-centered and service-oriented driver.

He represented Viajero excellently! He did all he could beyond my expectations! Man, cutting moringa (malunggay) branches for me and looking for ice blocks for food we bought from Vigan are some of the things he did which is beyond just meeting the requirements!

His wide knowledge, not just about places, events, destinations including current events and history really astounded me. To be honest, I gained a lot more information and tips.

The company, Viajero, charges reasonable rates. They seem to be very flexible and yet maintains customer focused service, second to none that I have used so far. Their terms and conditions are fair.

Booked a car for 3 days in manila during my vacation, their driver gave me innova with door, and damaged front. paid a 10,000 pesos refundable deposit tru our debit card before they swipe, driver confirmed with his office and said it was okay. execute the payment and paid a rent in cash as well without knowing that it will be the beginning of our headache. after 3 days i returned the car clean and safe without any scratch during my rental period. after 3 days we call them and confirmed that they will cancel and give us a refund as agreed. but after 2 weeks, after 3, 4 5 no refund arrived to our account. until now 2 months they just keep on promising my money will return but nothing- they will just avoid your call!!!!...SO IF I WERE YOU BE CAREFUL WITH Viajero Rent-A-Car Philippines.

Excellent Service

They gave me a fresh bottle of water at the airport and a brand new car. Staff who greeted me at the airport was really friendly. Car was picked up at the airport on time upon the return of the car. I will definitely use them again when I come back to Manila.

I had an car from them, I booked it with economycarrentals. They "viajero" company gave me an old car with 148.000 km's, scratched and damaged nearly every part of the car. They gave me a different contract what I have ordered by economycarrentals. I ordered fully car insurance. They changed they deductibles to their advance. And if you have accident they try to avoid all payments. I had an accident with a 3rd person, endeffect was I covered all the costs for the third party and the the took the triple price from my deductible to their repair costs. So be very careful if you deal with them. Yes the personal is friendly but not their company policy. For my next visits in Manila I will never ever use them again.

Better Service Than What I Expected

I decided to try out Viajero’s car rental service since their office is nearest to my flat.

The negative reviews here seem to be far from the truth. I reserved a van online for 2 days and Viajero gave me a new Toyota Commuter. That was a pleasant surprise. The driver came surprisingly ahead of time (be warned about “Filipino time”) and he was attentive and very helpful. My two-day trip went smoothly -- no flat tires or breakdowns of any sort.

But what I like the most about my experience with Viajero is booking a vehicle with them is easy. I made my reservation online and they called me to confirm the schedule on the same day. When the van arrived, we checked the van first, signed the contract, then we were good to go. That was it.

Also, Viajero's rates are affordable compared with the big rental companies'. Why should I pay more when I can get the same car and service for a lower price?

Tip: If you’re staying in the Philippines for a few days or longer, hire a driver too. Traffic jam in Manila can and will drive you crazy. You’ll thank me later.

(I first posted this as a comment to another review, but I'm posting this here again because Viajero deserves a positive review for the pleasant service it provided me.)

Top Rates With Top Service

Hey you guys I was visiting the philippines this summer and was very happy to come across this company it is located in Makati Prime Tower, and was very easy to access. Since our Hotel was very close we just stopped by and with the help of very friendly and competent Staff we were able to rent a car immediately. After 30 min. we were already sitting in the 2012 Toyota Innova. It was freshly clean and hardly used. Compared to other well known brands this was the most affordable. Trotting from Site to Site on our own (we mostly got lost lol :P ) we werent able to give the car back on time. But after a single call we were able to extend our rent with no further notice.

Thank you so much Viajero Team for making our vacay much more memorable

I rented a car from Viajero with a driver. The driver was courteous and knows all the places I went to. I will surely use the same driver when I get back to the Philippines. The booking process was fast and the staff were friendly.

I find the rates reasonable. The staff called me after a day to check whether I had any concern which is very surprising. Most service companies in the Philippines sucked! Someone called me to do a feedback and asked me if there was anything else I needed which I really appreciated.

Overall, my experience with them was stress free, high quaility and very professional.

I will surely recommend it when I get back to Manila. Kudos to Viajero.

Don't Go Near Them Unless You Want "police" Harassment!

DONT RENT A CAR (ESPECIALLY A VAN!) FROM THIS COMPANY

My Wife (Filipina) and I (British) paid 25k cash deposit 1 month in advance of delivery (total 50k for hire period) for renting 14 seater van and driver for our wedding and post wedding-holiday with family and friends.

The van never arrived, despite daily promises, instead they provided 2 cars, however this was not enough space as did not have 14 seats so we requested a third car.

This tripled our overheads: Fuel, Driver Meals, Driver Accommodation & Toll road fees.

After 4 days we off-hired the third car as some members of our party went home, then I sent away one driver a drove one car myself to try and reduce our ever increasing costs.

When we returned the vehicles they not only demanded the balance 25k in full (despite all my increased costs) but they also demanded I pay an ADDITIONAL 10k for the 3rd car, despite 2 cars not being sufficient to replace the 14 seater van! At this point I had already suffered increased costs of circa 20-25k due to three lots of cars and drivers daily costs fro fuel, food, beds, tolls etc.

Its a small amount of money, but it is the principle that they want to charge extra for not delivery what they promised. They could at any time have told us they could not get the van, retuned our 25k deposit and we could have gone elsewhere. They did not. They kept making promised they could not keep right up to the morning before the wedding - by which point it was too late to arrange anything else as we needed to leave Manila.

They refused to offer any discount to help share my increased costs. I proposed I would pay them a further 15k cash to put the matter behind us, however they refused to accept and demanded further 35k (total 55k). At this point I gave them my business card, all my contact details and told them to come back with a better proposal or if they did not I would refer the matter of the final payment to our Attorney in Manila, as I was not willing to except their current proposed final account settlement.

After this reasonably friendly meeting on our hotel lobby, I could not believe the level of their UNPROFESSIONALISM in dealing with our payment dispute!

For the next 36 hours we were harassed at our 5* Makati hotel by the owners of the rental company, their employees and their "police friends", including prank phone calls to our hotel room at 3am in the morning and calls to our mobiles the next day. - These scare tactics did not work as luckily the hotel security and manager protected us very well as the police had no warrant etc to enter.

We even had to check-out in our room, and get escorted via service elevators to a waiting taxi in the basement and leave by the back entrance in order to avoid further harassment outside the protection of our hotel.

For those that don't know the Philippines, the "police officers" would have been friends of the rental company promised cash if they helped collect outstanding balance from us, however they had no legal rights to get involved in such a civil dispute so that is why the hotel protected us so well. Luckily we were staying in a decent hotel in Makati, if we were in Manila proper, or one of the other cities in Manila area, things may have been a lot more difficult for us. (but the law remains the same - in theory at least).

Now the matter is in the hands of our Attorney and we are back home (outside of Philippines).

Over the years, VIAJERO RENT-A-CAR CORP has been successfully providing quality rental services at affordable prices. With this, it has established goodwill and excellent reputation with its clientele.

To properly protect our interest, it is but necessary to make a formal

comment on your review so as to properly guide the public.

You initially intended to rent the Grandia which would fit 12 people. We informed you that the Grandia is subject to availability in Toyota. Instead we offered to provide you 2 Innovas which would fit 10 people per van or total of 20 people with FREE DRIVERS subject to the condition that you will pay all miscellaneous expenses including the driver's accommodation, meals, gas, toll fees and other incidental expenses. Since you knew beforehand that you were on wait list, you agreed to just rent 2 Toyota Innovas. This set-up was agreed upon even before the start of the car rental. You even signed the trip tickets for each driver as a sign of your consent. You used the 2 Innovas ( 20 seater in total ) for a total of 13 days. You had a total of 13 days to cancel this contract if you wished to but you chose to continue using the cars. On your 4th day, you even availed of our promo rate for an additional third car - an Adventure which is P2,500 per day instead of P3,300 per day. You rented an additional Adventure for 4 days which was P2, 500 per day with driver or total of P10,000 that can fit 10 more people on the promise that you will pay. You agreed to our company policy that you will shoulder the gas, toll, and other incidental expenses. At the end of the car rental and after using 3 cars, amounting to an outstanding balance of P35,000 you refused to pay and asked us to reimburse you all the incidental expenses you had incurred with the three cars including gas, toll fees, accomodation and meals.

Instead of paying your total bill of P35,000, you hid from us and evaded

payment which compelled us to report the incident to the authorities for

proper action.

We were informed by our driver that the reason why you cannot pay is that you are already having financial difficulties due to the expenses you incurred on your wedding. As much as we sympathize with you, you have the obligation to pay us your dues. I am hoping that we can settle this matter amicably.

Your comment is extremely offensive. We have provided you with all the necessary accommodations, bonuses, and freebies as part of our customer service. Instead, you return our generosity with baseless accusations of wrondoing, just so you could escape your obligations. You have taken advantage of our kindness and violated Philippine laws.

It's nice to know that we have a good rent-a-car company here in the philippines. VIAJERO rent a car is located in makati and will deliver your rented car next to your doorstep. I've experienced such kind and hospitable service while inquiring and during the contract period. I will assure that next time that i will rent a car, i will prefer VIAJEROS service. They got the cheapest offer yet satisfied with the service that they cater. :)
