Cut Price Car Rentals

We were collected from the airport very quickly and transferred to their office which is just across the road, so only a couple minutes’ drive. The lady that pick us and the office staff were all very friendly. All was made very easy. The Mitsubishi was a great car and was clean and tidy. This company was a great little find and good value. I have already booked again for January.

We have used the Gold Coast office for the last three years and find the service excellent. We always get zero excess option so there is no bond but if you don’t want to add this you can leave a bond, they explain the options to you, I think the other option was pre auth $500 but I rather be fully covered. Getting picked up and dropped off at this airport is so easy and they are just across the road so it’s really quick. On my experience with the company over these last three years the cars we have hire, the price and the staff that have served us have been great! I have and do recommend this company to anyone looking for a cheap car on the Gold Coast. They’ve got an office in Brisbane but I’ve never rented from there so I can’t comment.

The service to get the car and return it was really quick. We rented from Gold Coast and the free and prompt transfer airport-office and office-airport was part of the excellent service received and the older gentlemen that pick us up was delightful. The car was good and I was pleased with what I had booked on-line. It was good for our party of 4 adults and was comfortable. When we decided to book the car in Cutprice, we selected them due to the good price and so I am pleased with my decision.

Don’t know why there are so many bad reviews on here but I can see they are all years old. I had a great experience with Cutprice and will deffo use them again. They are cheap and staff are great.

We booked months ago to pick up at the airport and they cancelled 12 hours before. Via email which luckily I checked as we were flying from England.

I tried to contact them with no response and luckily ended up hiring a car through Budget.

Easy for them to take your money impossible for them to return it. Shocking service have called over 12 times being told the person I dealt with from the legal team deals with refunds and will get back to me within 4 hours(8x) it's been a month now and nothing. Never use them. Was told by worker in Brisbane airport location the money would be in my account within 3 days and nothing(print out of email as proof).. out $220 and they won't even return a phone call. I have been nothing but polite and they treat their customers like garbage. Never use this company. I have sent this message privately first with the hope they will make things right but nothing.

I booked a car for 4 June 2016 pick at 7.30 pm , We got there no people around to ask, we called two phones number which were off left who we were.

Yes it was rainning hard but they new we were coming, Wait for hour then had rent other car at cost of $154.00 for 12 hours as friends were 40 km away.We got a call has we made it to friend house say we have come back the morning as it was to wet

Went back in the morning drop first car off went Cut price rentals was told they sorry and would call his manager and up date the costs see what money payed back as we out pocket.

We drop the car off on 19 June no one was there to ask , We come back NZ 16 days later I called them about asked what going on,Got put through to an adviser and was told me it was down to the weather, I told him but wear in there contract as it got if the weathers bad can they just not turn up with a car and not let evey one know about whats going on. He told me me was going call me back,

If i told him I was not going pay for a day because bad weather do think I would get away with it , This is not good as my contract was for car and it was not there, Can some please get hold me for up date as i feel I been let down as small guy

Horrible experience!! A complete mess. had to wait at the airport for 45 mins to get picked up from the airport. a total nightmare with a young child.

but it doesn't end there.

when we went to drop the car off we were cornered saying that car has been hit on the front bumper even though nothing was visible on the bumper. when we said nothing has happened to the car since we parked it every day in secure parking we were told" were you in the car 24/7".

Then we were told he needs to speak to his manager and were fine with it but then he goes ahead and takes the key out even though I requested that my 2 year old is sleeping in the car and it was a hot day, so until further discussion please leave the key and keep the aircon on the staff said " you may run away with car"!!!

I had to then pull my son out and when we walked in the office were told to sign a form saying the car has been damaged , when we refused we were told leave the premises or the police will be called!!!!!

after that we have now received a debit of $1200 AUD on card ... still solving the issue.

DONOT GO FOR CHEAP RENTAL. THEY WILL EVENTUALLY RIP YOU OFF

I booked a van 3 month before our arrival and 1 week earlier I got an email says that we can not give you a new model and you ganna get the old model knowing that I paid extra, and they even would nt refund the difference back.

horrible service, at the end I cancelled with them and I went with other car rental. pay extra for you peace of mind .

We were told over the phone that the excess for the vehicle would be $3500 which we accepted, but when we got there the guy told us that we would be liable for full price of the vehicle plus a charge for every day the car was out of action!!! This was unacceptable so we walked away and decided to use another car rental place. They wouldn't give us a refund.

The customer service of this company is shocking - The WORST I have ever experienced. They didn't respond to my complaint at all to begin with - just ignored all correspondence. After several attempts, someone did get back to me but were still unwilling to offer a refund for a service that we were talked into and did not even use.

There are several bad reviews about this company for a reason, so I suggest you go elsewhere. We ended up using Budget which was slightly more expensive but at least they had a capped excess.

All of the vehicles there seemed old with high KM. AVOID THIS COMPANY LIKE THE PLAGUE!!!!!!
