Worst Customer Service
I have called 4 times to get my refund handled correctly and everytime the operator can not handle the call say's I need to transfer this call to a supervisor and we get put on endless hold until they hang up on us. Rudy actually said oh here is my supervisor right here, one moment and did the same thing. SPIRIT AIRLINES SUCKS. DONT DO BUSINESS WITH SPIRIT AIRLINES
Racially Profiled
Until it happens to you you would not understand. Because I don't. Why out of hundred of passengers did I have to pay $65.00 for a small bag that I've carried on without a price before. I saw a least 3 or 4 passengers before me several passengers walking without a charge. Then when I asked why the young lady act like she didn't understand English. And when I asked why I'm paying and not the other passenger she didn't answer. When she really should have gotten someone who could have explain the process. I have my son with me and its his FIRST vacation and the worst me me and him, because she took money I wasn't really able to pay, for no good reason. She didn't even weight the bag or even try to put in the the bag size thing or anything. We maybe won't EAT or one day we are here because of her actions. But there was one flight attendant that cared.
Shocking & Disgraceful
Where to start, I know you get what you pay for but Spirit Airlines are frankly horrific. Even as a budget Airline. The worst experience I have ever had with an Airline and being Active Duty Military I've used a few Airlines.
They cancelled our flights due to bad weather. However every other Airline flying to Lax this day seemed manage perfectly fine. Spent about $330 for the flight,they refunded me $44 for the flight they canned. The staff at the check-in desk were not helpful at all. It's a shame they didn't put as much effort into trying to help us as they did huffing and puffing about having to give a refund.
So in the end Spirits inability to fly in make believe bad weather conditions meant that we had to purchase 2 new tickets home with a different Airline to the tune of $846. Man that $44 made all the difference.
Nice to see this how they treat their Military members. Where would we all be now if the Military was as incompetent as these bafoons.
If you can't do the basics right Spirit, don't bother doing anything at all.

Gouged!
Take /southwest! Already $200.00 extra dollars into this flight and I haven't boarded. Bracing for the worst. If they stick it to you this bad before you board can't imagine what the flight will be like. Very sorry I thought this would be an inexpensive flight from Portland OR to Las Vegas. Will definately tell everyone I know to steer away from this airline.
I Flew On Spirit On 1/11/18 From Cleveland, Oh To
I flew on Spirit on 1/11/18 from Cleveland, Oh to Atlanta Ga returning on 1/15/18. I got in the line to board the agent informed me that I would have to pay for my carry on bag &65. I informed her that this bag met all the necessary spirit airline requirements according to the information given as well as the size container displayed. Now hence my flight total was $168 car included. This is the same bag that I came in from Cleveland with and I was not charged so how can the same company (spirit) have different rules in different states. She informed me that the carry-on is considered a duffle bag. Really. This girly bag is a duffle. I asked for a manager she said that the manager is in another part of the airport and would not come. Well first that is an assumption. I paid the $65 only to inform the agent that I would be contacting Corporate. Now I contact Spirit via email. And I must say I did get a prompt reply. Well they decided to give me back $10. Are you kidding after several emails and no further refunds given. I informed spirit that I will not fly them again ever in life due to their nickel and dime promotions along with the carry on scheme. Take my advice you are better off flying Southwest.
Also the gentleman next to me had the same size bag and he informed me that he didn't pay for carry-on fee. I did ask spirit so what would they have done if I didn't have a credit, debit or cash available. She avoided that question. I sent it again with ??????

Terrible Customer Service!
On a positive note, I flew with Spirit Airlines last year and took my three young kids with me. The flight was wonderful and flawless. The flight crew was wonderful and made for a wonderful flight!
That being said, their customer service is horrible and, absolutely, rude and condensending. Trying to honor my "miles" with them has been a nightmare. First, I'm told that I don't have any miles and that all my miles had "expired". So, I book a trip. A few days later, I receive a notice telling me that I have 15,775 miles that will be expiring. I call to inquire on this and get the complete run around and then transferred to a woman in the "miles Dept". This woman tells me that I actually have 32,929 miles. But, oops, can't use those miles on the trip that I just booked (after I was told that all of my miles had expired). I could, however, cancel my reserved trip and re-book it and I could use my miles at that time. For a simple fee of $413!!! So, I call back and speak to Customer service again and I'm told that there has been NO phone calls from me in the past 5 months. I ask to talk to a Supervisor and Mr. RUDE "JC" comes to the phone and, basically, calls me a liar! Then, after degrading me, tells me "since you booked with "flight flex", you can cancel your reservation online and there will be "no fees". So, he hangs up with me and I go online to cancel my reservation and....guess what? Yup...there's a fee of $413!! I call right back and now I speak with someone. So, he tells me, there's no record of phone calls from me for the past 5 months!! What about the 40 minute call that I JUST had with Mr. RUDE... yah, no record. So, again, I'm a liar!!
I am a professional person who works for a Government Agency and I would never treat the public in the way that I have been treated by this Airline and their extremely rude representatives. They lie!!
Obviously, I'm forced to go through with my future trip because, like most, can't lose out on $413. After that, I will NEVER use Spirit again!!
Crappiest Company I’ve Ever Dealt With
THE WORST COMPANY OUT THERE FOR CUSTOMER SERVICE WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THEM TO ANYONE I KNOW THEY ARE JUST AFTER YOUR MONEY THEY DONT CARE ABOUT HAPPY CUSTOMERS
Horrible Customer Service
You can't get any service no one returns calls if you have a problem they obviously don't want to hear about it. Was trying to retrieve a suitcase we left behind by mistakingly taking wrong bag on arrival, After waiting a whole day for a return call I went back to airport to baggage claim same carosoul ...there was my bag I could see it locked up with a name tag and phone # why didn't they call isn't that why we put tags on? Anyway no one but sprit ticket desk could help me but ticket desk has very limited hours so I stood for 1 1/2 hrs waiting for someone to show up. She walked me right to baggage claim I got my bag and was on my way. Was charged $12 for parking while at airport so more extra $ which total was $162. How do they get away with selling you a ticket then emailing you that they noticed you hadn't purchased your seats... ripping off customers! I will never fly spirit again and everyone I can tell this story to I will enough people spreading the word should be bad for your business I hope
A Bad Deal
This is not the cheapest airline. Jet Blue between Oralndo and Aguadilla Puerto Rico is cheaper and has much
better service. The Spirit planes are more like a bus - uncomfortable seats. You have to pay even for carry on
luggage. They won't even give you a glass of water. It will cost you $3. I will never travel with this airline again.
Horrible Airline That Does Not Put The Customer First
I had a horrible experience with this airline. I traveled approx. 4 hours to get a Spirit airline flight out of Baltimore Md. and when we arrived we were told that the flight was delayed approx. 4 hrs., and then it was cancelled as we waited approximately 4 hrs. away from home, and our friends were inconvenienced in Florida waiting for us to arrive. We were told that the scheduled plane needed a part and there were not any back up Spirit planes available to do flight. One plane for a destination with no back up planes in the event that something happens - really - not good. Apology and vouchers were emailed for me and my husband, but when I attempted to use the vouchers the flight prices were extremely high in price, and later I was told that I couldn't use the vouchers in the month I was told because I was 8 days off of the voucher date. No flexibility or other accommodations were offered or given in consideration of the horrible inconvenience on our previous trip to Florida. Customer service is at the core of any business, and I have found that the Spirit Airline customer service is horrible. DO NOT USE SPIRIT AIRLINE! I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND SPIRIT AIRLINE!
