Princess Cruises, Caribbean Princess, Eastern Caribean

I am an experienced cruiser. This spring, there were three couples that traveled to the Carribean for a 7 day cruise. When things go well everyone is happy; when things go wrong they have customer service. So our cruise last month was cancelled because the PRINCESS Cruise ship broke down. They did refund our money but are doing nothing to reimburse us for the thousands of additional dollars out of pocket. In fact it took several emails to PRINCESS customer service before they even responded that they were not going to do anything. What makes it even more insulting is that they knew the ship was broken when we got on board; they had had the same problem over the weeks leading up to our sailing. Be careful when booking a cruise on PRINCESS, they will not stand behind their promises. Because the ship is registered in a different country, you can't even sue them. I will sail again, just not on PRINCESS.

This was our first cruise on board Navigator of the seas with Royal Caribbean, covering the Western Med.

The ship was spotlessly clean and staff were very helpful and friendly.

The food was continuous throughout the day and you could select to eat casually in the windjammer restaurant or more formally in the main restaurants it didn't matter which you chose the food was amazing the quality and choices were outstanding.

The entertainment ranged from good to excellent and there was always something going on throughout the ship.

I would certainly cruise again so much so have booked again for Feb next year.

The port of call were all stunning but you do not have to spend the large amounts of money on the organised trips we used the trains, buses and taxis and saw all the sites for very little cost.

I've cruised on Royal Caribbean and found them superior. The cruise lines charge gratuities of $11 per day per passenger and even though we added an extra tip for our steward and waiter, I never feel that they were pleased. From now on I will opt out of this program and tip those I feel are entitled.

It was our first cruise we enjoyed everthing about the Caribbean Princess cruise from the time we left until our return. The ship was everything we imagned and more. We would go on another cruise.

Princess Cruises, Caribbean Princess - There was a bit of delay when departing from port of Miami. But the following days were all great. Rooms were pretty neat, and the room service was free!!! The food can get very good sometimes, but most of the time they weren't extraordinary. One bad experience was the little punks on board, which was a bad mark on the cruise. The ports that were visited were all great places, and with plenty to do on land. But sometimes if you didn't sign up for on land excursion it can become very boring. But if you don't like to move around too much, staying on board by the pool could also be great idea. I heard from my family the salon isn't one of the best, but the spa and massage services was said to be very good.

We flew on Thomass Cook charter to Miami before we emabraked on our Princess Cruise. This is the worst flight we have ever been on, and everyone we spoke to was of the same opinion. The seats were cramped (I am slim), very little leg room. Most people were awake all night and walking about as it was so uncomfortable. Sea Princess was overcrowded, seats on deck were virtually full (unless one got up at the crack of dawn), seats in the shade were at a premium and usually next to the air conditioning outlet. The cabins were small compared to other Princess ships we had been on (this being our ninth cruise). Food was not as good as on previous cruises, and "any time dining" had long queues on most nights, and as for having a table for two, one always had to wait and was given a pager. The service in the restaurant was very slow. We will never go with Princess again.

On December 31st, 2005 we got on board the Caribbean Princess in cabin R328 coming back on January 7th, 2006. Overall the cruise was just ok, but we never received a good service from the person in charge of cleaning our cabin. On the last day, the disembarkation day, my wife left inside our room her wallet with $800 + personal documents and also left a couple of pieces of fantasy jewellery. Inmediately after renting the car we returned to the ship to pick up what we left by mistake. Everything had disappearED, there was no wallet, no jewellery, no money and no one really interested in helping. We filled in a claim form stating what was missing and a week after we received a courier from Lost and Found Services returning the wallet with all the personal documentation, but of course this courier did not include the cash nor the missing piece of jewelry.

In my opinion, the fact that the wallet was found is unmistakable evidence that someone took advantage of the wallet which was left behind inside the cabin. Considering our claim was presented on the same day we disembark the ship, it seems outrageous that a company that is supposed to be reliable as Princess, simply send us a note (not even signed) stating that they are pleased to have found the wallet (moneyless) with out including any further explanation. Then I call Princess local office and they did nothing to help either. After a second call a week later they inform me ( verbally not written) that since there is no proof of someone taking the money they can't do anything.

PRINCESS has been a very bad experience and I will NEVER again use this company.

The Eastern Caribbean cruise on the Caribbean Princess was my fifth cruise, and by far the worse. The crew were unfriendly, seemed to be unhappy, and provided slow service. Although the ship is very large, it always seemed to be over-crowded. The quality and variety of food was poor, and it was very difficult to find open seating in the dining areas. After disembarking from the ship, I discovered that I had forgotten, and left some personal items in my room. I contacted their lost and found department, and was told to submit a claim form. Several weeks have passed and I have yet to hear from them, or receive these items. I would therefore question the effort put forth in returning the items I left behind.

My cruise on the Caribbean Princess Cruise was my 8th cruise, and the first and the last one with Princess. Royal Caribbean are the best for families, and Holland American for older people.
