Worst Business I’ve Dealt With In My Entire Life
Absolutely the worst company I have ever had to deal with. Booked a flight, from Brussels to the USA through vayama. Unfortunately, I had a death in the family and was unable to take my trip. Vayama offered no help to cancel my flight that I booked through them and told me they would not help. Their customer service has repeatedly been extremely rude and when I asked to speak to a supervisor was told that they would not want to speak to me. They told me I had to cancel my flight directly through the airline TUI Fly. So they cannot help with anything such as flight changes or cancellations, in fact they repeatedly gave me the wrong phone numbers and contact info for the airlines and none of the reservation numbers they repeatedly gave me matched any records at the Airlines. So, I unfortunately had to continue to contact their insistently rude customer service in order to finally get only some of the information I needed. On top of the death of my brother that I had to deal with, I had to be verbally abused and mistreated by this company repeatedly just to make simple cancellation. Avoid this company at all costs!! And I will also be avoiding any other company that does business with them.
They Are Hard To Reach , Inflexible And Liars
When my husband had a accident we were unable to go on a much anticipated trip to Italy. we had booked our trip to Rome through Vayama ( I actually didn't realize I was being sent to Vayama on the web) and our trip back directly through Swiss Airlines. The return trip was easily cancelled with a small fee and proper documentation
Vayama asked for the documentation and said the airline would not refund the ticket.
I spoke with the airline and they said that is totally untrue but they needed Vayama to approve the refund. I am sure they didn't even try. Although the policy is no refunds in an emergency most people are sympathetic to some degree at least. They are not... DO NOT USE THEM !!
Worst Customer Service
I booked a flight and my first name was missed out by them so it did not match my passport so I have to change it.
I call them in the Bangalore office and they tell me to send passport copy so I did.
Still no changes.
I call the european office and they tell me it should be done by the end of the day and if it isn't call them in the morning.
So nothing happens day 1 so I call the next day another man tells me to wait a takes a few days and he will get someone to email me to ensure they are working on it, no email received.
I call them everyday both offices and they say they are working on it, but they clearly doing nothing. They wait as many days as possible so the flight prices go up or are booked out so they can charge you more excess fees. They can never tell me what actual progress is made because there is none.
Each person I speak to says something slightly different because none of them actually have facts to go on.
I called both airlines and they said if the Budgetair calls us we can fix it immediately. So why does it take budget air so long? it has now been 5 days.
I don't know what more I can do, I will continue to call both offices everyday to try to get them to change it.
I really would like to know how they get away with it.
Never booking with them again, every person I know to booking flights will be informed to not book with them.
I will write another review when I get to the end of this.
Horrible Experience. Stay Away.
I really regret booking through Vayama. After ticketing my flight, I found that I was not able to select seats on any of my flights. I went to the airline websites and also called the airlines and was told that the class of fare does not allow me to select seats till the day of the flight. The whole reason I had booked in advance was to make sure I had good seats and good flights. When I called Vayama to cancel the booking, all they did was keep telling me to call the airline (even though I repeatedly told them I had called the airline and was told I would not be able to select seats), and then wanted to charge me $50 per person to void the ticket. That was unacceptable. There was nothing in their booking process that indicated that it would not be possible to select seats. I asked to speak with a supervisor, was told that he/she was on another call and would call me back, but I never received a callback. Terrible customer service, not transparent, never booking with them again.
Never Again!!
Don't ever book using vayama!!
Kayak sent me their way, first they canceled one of the layover flights (I got a new one through the airline), then I tried canceling one of the two flights I'd booked and they were not helpful at all.
Their customer service is the worst I've ever seen, emails are being replied in an unacceptable time frame, not read properly, or ignored completely. Calling them does not help either, their customer service is very rude and states things without being able to explain them.
On top of all of that vayama and the airline keep contradicting each other in regards to who can help me and how I can be helped - vayama actually contradicts its own information depending on who you talk to.
NEVER. AGAIN: Looks like they're cheating me out of $1000.
Worst, Irresponsible, Rude & Unacceptable - Do Not Use
The worst experience and the worst service by VAYAMA.COM - DO NOT USE
I booked a ticket via Kayak 2.5 months prior to my departure, the booking went straight to Vayama.com. My 4 hour-flight schedule with TAM had changed, around 4 hours after my booking. Vayama.com did not provide any information regarding the change until 6 days before my travel date, forced me to take an alternative flight, which will take 14.5 hours and cheaper than the original flight I purchased. I tried to ask the agent for other alternative options, they refuse to provide any. I tried to fix by calling the airline and get an alternative flight (takes 6 hours, instead of 14.5 hours). I made a conference call with the airline and vayama representative, the agent failed to booked that flight over the weekend after this conference cal and my confirmation 2 times. The agent came back to me 3 days before my departure, and again forced me to take the 14.5 hours flight as the 6 hours flight was booked (2 days after all parties agreed). Vayama.com failed to perform its task multiple times. I therefore decided to book a new flight directly with the airline i.e. more expensive as the travel date is in 2 days, the flight I got with the airline has a horrible time schedule as I was left with no choice. I requested Vayama.com to give a full refund, I DO NOT WISH TO CONTACT THIS AGENT VAYAMA.COM ever again in my life. AND Every call I had with the representatives was rude, incompetent, not helpful, and unacceptable, in some call the representatives hang up the phone on me, yelled and screamed at me. THE OVERALL EXPERIENCE IS HORRIBLE, UNACCEPTABLE, NIGHTMARE, AND DEFINITELY NOT EVEN WORTH A STAR FOR THIS REVIEW.
My conclusion for services I received,
• The agency is not providing the best option available for the client
• The agency failed to perform its task properly e.g. not provide the information of the flight change in advance, forced client to take the option that is almost impossible to take (14 hours and 30 mins flight for when there is an alternative), failed to rebook a ticket that I confirmed, left me back with the unacceptable schedule.
• The agency does not resume any responsibility for its fault and mistake.
• The agency is rude, incompetent and definitely the worst one that I ever experienced in my life.
Worst Booking Company Ever
I had a flight on Sunday, Sept 8. I went to the airport and realized that I need a visa for Canada. Unfortunately I don't have a visa for Canada. Then I called vayama customer service. I've waited approximately 1 hour then finally someone asked me how they can help. I've explained the problem and asked for their help. The representative cancelled the ticket and told me that they will arrange a new ticket in 4 days and will send an email soon with the details. 1 day passed but I did not receive an email. Then I called them. waited again apprx. 1 hour then someone stated to talk saying that 'hold on, give me some time' I wasted 2 more hours but no results. Then I called them again spent 2 more hours no result. Today I called them again to follow up. They told me that I have to pay $400 more because I cancelled the ticket. I thought they were kidding but no they were serious.
Lets make long story short. It is the worst ticket booking company ever. Don't make the same mistake. Don't work with them. They're just headache and ...
Not Reliable
An agency called http://airfareinc.com took my money and used stolen credit card to buy ticket under my name from VAYAMA. vayama did not realize about the fraud because they never checked to see that traveler`s name which is me does not match the credit card that was used. In cases that the name on the credit card does not match the traveler`s name usually agency contacts the person to make sure. but Vayama did not . even when they finally found out its a fraud they never contacted me and when I contacted them they just said oh well things like that happens all the time
Customer Service Unreachable
I booked through Vayama at pretty much the going fare. A glitch in plans made it necessary to reschedule the first leg with Air France. I could not reach Vayama, and when I did they said they could not reschedule. I would have to do it with AF. AF had not received any notice of the flight, Vayama representative (two days to reach) could not give it. Finally resolved the situation throwing myself on the mercy of the AF rep (top ratings to them) who called Vayama and got the info. Vayama is a consolidator. They buy blocks of seats cheap. If something goes wrong, even if you can reach them, they can do nothing about it.
Terrible Customer Service
In October 2011 we booked flights to travel to Cambodia in July 2012 flying from London Heathrow to Taipei, Taiwan to Phnom Penh, Cambodia and returning from Bangkok to Amsterdam to London Heathrow. We recieved an email from Vayama a few months later advising that our flight from Taiwan to Cambodia was leaving 5 minutes later than originally scheduled but aside from that heard nothing from them once we had recieved our booking confirmation. In April 2012 we made our seat reservations with the airline and in doing this noticed that they had us scheduled to depart 7 hours earlier than we thought we had booked. When we looked closer, the flight was also shown to be departing from Amsterdam and not from Heathrow as we had booked. I called Vayama to query this with them and after waiting in the queue for 15 minutes and then being on hold for a further 10 minutes while the agent tried to call up our booking, was told that our flight from London had been cancelled and this was the only available alternative. I emailed my complaint to them pointing out that I wasn't in Amsterdam, I was in London and therefore wanted (and indeed had booked and paid) to fly from London however only recieved a response re-iterating the new flight details. I emailed again to ask for the details of their complaints department and recieved a response ignoring my question and stating there was nothing more they could do. 3 weeks later and after many more emails, they eventually managed to arrange a flight from London to Amsterdam for us at no extra cost however I shouldn't have had to spend the best part of a month chasing them trying to get them to provide the service which we had paid for. As it was, we may have gotten all our flights but we still spend 12 hours longer than anticipated travelling, had to spend a very uncomfortable night in the airport in Taiwan thanks to the flight changes and missed 3 days of the voluntary work we were supposed to be doing in Cambodia thanks to jet-lag. If we'd been told about the cancellation of our original flight when it first happened (3 months before we discovered it), we could have made alternative arrangements or at the very least budgeted for a hotel in Taiwan! 2 very unhappy customers here who will NOT be booking with Vayama again!
