On 27-11-2024 I was trying to purchase a ticket to Kenya from London Heathrow for an elderly friend couple. I looked on the internet and called up a few travel agents and the I got the prices from £680.00 to £730.00 and filled in a few details. I then got a call from Travel-E-Link saying that he can give me at a price of £600.00 each for which I thought that this was a bargain. I was prepared to pay in full and get the e-ticket but he refused and said that this is a promotional fare by Kenya Airways and that I had to pay in 4 installments and pay a deposit of £200.00 to secure this. I told him that we always go abroad and we always get a ticket straight away when we in one go at the start but he said that in this instance we cannot as this is a promotional fare by Kenya Airways. I trusted him and paid the £200.00 deposit to secure this deal. I was compelled to pay this deposit by him. I then checked their website and found that 95% of people had been tricked by this company and requested not to deal with this company as it was a bad company. They lost their deposits and some were told to pay about £600.00 more above their fare ticket quoted at the final installment saying that the fares have now gone up.They were all at the company's mercy as they could not go elsewhere. This is delaying tactic by the company to trick people. At that point I asked him to cancel my deposit and pay me back in full. He only paid me £100.00 and kept the other £100.00. I was still under the 14 day period and they are in breach of contract. I had also asked him for an ATOL No and he said that he would only give after the final installment is paid. I tried to call the Director Mr Zahid Sattar several times at their Head Office only to be put back to him and my Blood Pressure was shooting high as I am a heart patient. This company should be stopped trading as more and more innocent people will be losing their hard earned money to this rogue company.
Avoid At All Costs
Took £100 deposit with the absolute guarantee and promise that the price wouldn't change come the end of the month ready to pay the outstanding the price had doubled and deposit non refundable well they want to keep £75 for lying, there's no misunderstanding, clear as day written in black and white, triple checked, asked if it was safe and the price was the price, they are not ABTA, avoid at all cost
Travelelink Travel Agent Is An Unethical And Disho
Travelelink travel agent is an unethical and dishonest/deceitful business operation. Their people skills and customer service, is so appalling and leaves a lot to be desired. They promise cheap flights, take a deposit off you and pressurise customers to pay the balance for the flight reservation. However, as soon the balance payment is made, they tell you the ticket fare has just gone up and you have to pay extra, for the booking. At this juncture, they are not willing to give a refund of the monies paid. You either have to pay the difference or incur cancellation fees, even when you have literally just made the payment. Even more shocking, the refund will take up-to four (4) weeks, to reflect in your account. i initially booked to fly out of my local birmingham airport, but now have to incur further costs to travel hundreds of miles to gatwick, to fly out on a flight valued at the price i had paid. Further investigation showed that the new flight was £110 cheaper than what i had already paid, but travelelink was still not willing to refund the difference or issue a minimal monetary token, as a gesture of good will, for the inconvenience and distress caused. I cannot believe they took from me, with my eyes wide open, in broad daylight. This should be stopped. I read reviews that highlighted this, but thought i’d give them the benefit of the doubt. A regrettable judgement. Please be forewarned- do not use this travel agent. They will just reap you off. date of experience: august 02, 2024

Wrong Booking And Additional Payment Request
DO NOT PATRONISE TRAVELELINK PLEASE
Agents made a booking reservation for me on KLM with a promise of 3 check-in baggage per person.
The Ticket was issued with 2 check-in bags going and 1 check-in bag return per person.
The Airline advised me to ask Travelelink to correct the booking, but the Agent is asking me to pay an additional fee.
I've paid an additional £2,700 from the initial ticket values already.
They will not return calls or emails after payment.
If I Could Give Them Zero Star.
If I could give them zero star. they tried to play a fast one on me. I wanted Virgin Atlantic flight in early January 2023 (£1300 from Virgin Atlantic), they were telling me they have promotion (£890) & they bought the tickets when it was cheap. I should deposit £50 to secure it. I paid with credit card. I was given Virgin Atlantic booking live and invoice to sign. Next day I called to pay £840. They said oh no don't pay everything now. I paid £500 & they said I have not signed the invoice. I went back to check and made sure I read the terms and conditions. That is where the trap is. I told them to email me that the Price will not increase. They didn't. My advice don't sign anything and don't use Visa or transfer, only credit card. They didn't want to refund my money but I got it back in fund.

TRAVELELINK LTD is the worst travel agent I have unfortunately encountered. They pressure you relentlessly to pay a deposit and send a document to sign after which they canceled the ticket and tells you the price has gone up and you will need to pay a higher price.After asking for refunds they tell you they will charge you 75% cancelation fees.I honestly dont know why this company is still in business and this is a note to avoid doing business with them at all cost. Don't be fooled by some of the 5-star reviews.

i booked with them going to harare and i ask them give me time of 3-4 weeks to pay rest of money and they gave me this time and when i made them the full payment after 4 weeks they issued me my tickets and i got it the only thing was i was charged 25gbp booking fee which is i think i never mind as far as i am getting this much time to pay later so i am very much satisfied with them thanks.

Worst company around. Very poor customer service. Don’t waste your money and time booking with them. Stay away. I have reported to Trading Standards and also will report to who ever I can. They just take your money and run!!!

I booked my flights on the Friday, offered to pay in full & was told that they prefer a deposit (1st red flag). Monday morning I received several miss calls to pay the full amount. So spoke to an agent, paid £2100, only to be rung back 10 minutes later to say the flights have gone up hundreds because I didn't pay the full amount when I booked. So after a lot of heated discussions- he likes to scream at customers and there are many reviews out there confirming this, we ended up paying another £340.
Low and behold Omicron happened. The airlines cancelled my flights and Travelelink has decided to keep £1200 of my money. Now we have the hassle of court to look forward to. Stay away from this company!!!
I wish that I had found your review because they knocked me for £1 200. We are going to take them to court now. I cannot believe how this terrible travel agents are still allowed to trade.
Worst online travel agent ever. Beware!
I did booking in April and confirmed with flight ticket and paid for deposit though I wanted to pay full price but didn't allow as airlines won't issue ticket three months in advance which i was told. At the same time i was told fare will remain same at the time of reservation.
After one and half month they called up for final booking for payment and told me the price has gone up double which was really annoying. I spoke with the manager & apologised me said they fired the staff with whom i did reservation as he messed up with many other customers too. I was promised to send an email with future flight discount via email which they didn't and haven't refunded my deposit either.
They keep on making story and passing phone to different department and extending time with other excuses- which makes you tired of making call to them.
So never ever book fight tickets and holiday with them. They are truly cheater playing around.
None of their staff can speak proper English and customer service is really really poor.
