Covid 19 Refund
Booked hotel accomidation with Otel.com and I am like the rest of the people Accomidation was booked and paid $1496.20 for June 2020 notified in March that because of Covid we would cancel after a lot of emails I was told money would be refunded by end of 2020 no such luck
Avoid At All Costs
AVOID AT ALL COSTS! I made a booking and apparently the "supplier" cancelled it and Otel.com simply blamed them for not issuing a refund. So I've been left out of pocket and nobody taking responsibility.
During The State Of This World We Were Unable To L
During the state of this world we were unable to leave our state and the destination state was on lockdown. We could not go on our vacation. No refund given!!!! Not even a partial!! This is unacceptable and poor business. I would give negative 5 stars on this process from the beginning.
The room couldn’t even be verified until 2 weeks before the date!!! Several attempts were made to contact them with no responses. A week before we were to leave, We were on lockdown. It took them a month to deny the refund. There was nothing i could do. How is this good business?? If i had known a worldwide issue wouldn’t be enough to warrant a refund i would never have continued with this booking. I was initially booking through another site and was not aware it was Otel until i made the booking. This is also very bad business and should be illegal
It’s not a site i would recommend to the devil!!
Pocket & Run
Made a reservation for a eekend at a Paris hotel and prepaid USD 2.000-plus. The hotel/site cancelled the reservation. After a month-long non-response period they flatly rejected my claim for a refund, citing internal reasons. I have had reports that payments are gone when the hotel does not find their reservation, but this tops it: They cancel and pocket the cash. A website to avoid, and one to look into for consumer and law enforcement agencies.
They'll Take Your Money And Ignore Their Refund Promise
I booked a hotel with this website back in December, 2018. Reached the hotel to learn my booking was cancelled by the website's supplier hours before check-in without any acknowledgement or warning to me because the supplier "went out of business" or so what I was told. I quickly got on their live-chat service to find out what was going on and the support agent told me what I mentioned above. He then advised me to book with the hotel on the spot (I had a set amount of money I could spend and the neighboring hotels were beyond my price range) and they would refund me my full amount. Basically $110 for the booking from their website and the $500 or so I had to shell out on the spot for the hotel. I was forced to spend that amount because I travelled 7 hours to my destination and didn't want to return back home since I was with others who depended on me for accommodation.
Come February after repeatedly contacting them about their promised transfer and they finally ask me for my bank details for the transfer. Then they tell me they can only refund a portion of the amount. I sent my details to them immediately because it had been two months at that point and I wanted my money back as soon as possible. A month goes by, no transfer. I then start to get worried and repeatedly emailed their support staff multiple times over the next few months to which I received not one reply. I opened multiple support tickets all of which were closed or marked as resolved without any communication to me or my permission to close the ticket, which is what a good customer support service does. It's July 22nd today and on their live-chat earlier the advice I got was "Open another support ticket"...
PS: Live-chat and email is the only way I can contact them since the phone number on their website never seems to connect or go through.
I Had No Problems, Exactly As Described
I would say the booking was very nontraditional. I even got an alert from PayPal. I booked through them because my booking was able to be cancelled. With that being said, the booking was legitimate. The resort confirmed they had it. My wife became pregnant and we could not go because of Zika virus. As promised, I was able to cancel my booking. I received a full refund. I have no complaints about this service.
False Information When Booking Vs When Arriving
We booked three different hotels through otel.com in europe, and all three hotels we had issues with.
The biggest issue was that we booked for 2 adults and a child. All three hotels did not have a room booked for a child, or one of them had a room with a baby crib in it. Our child is 9 years old.
No one including hotels and otel.com would help. We had to plead and pay extra once at hotels. This was the worst experience ever. Hope these guys close down soon. Their customer service also tried to make us at fault and tell us that we did not specify an age of the child while booking. Actually their website does not let you go any further with your booking if the age of a child is not specified.
Never again will i use them or recommend it to anyone at all!
Do Not Use This Site. I Booked A Room On This Site
Do not use this site. I booked a room on this site, and cancelled my booking less than two hours later. They refuse to refund my money. The policy said free cancellation if I cancelled by 3/8. I made the reservation and cancelled it on 3/8. They keep telling me I cancelled on 3/9. I have all the emails from them showing exact dates and times. They still refuse. All I want is my refund. Please do not use this site. They will take your money and run.

I booked a hotel on this site for my daughter first anniversary. I made a reservation for a double size or larger bed. When they arrived they were given a room with two twin beds, told they could not have any other room due to how otel.com booked it. What a nightmare for 1 year wedding anniversary. A 0 rating is the lowest given but if I could I'd give worse. I contacted otel.com and was told "read the fine print" and you will see that we don't guarantee any room confirmation.
