Cheap But Awful - Do Not Book With Ola!

Myself, partner, my two children and daughter's friend booked a family connecting room at the Diamond Hill Resort in Antalya, Turkey in August 2013, costing over £4,000. Our accommodation was to be 2 connecting rooms - one being for myself and partner, the other room for my son, daughter and her friend. On arriving in the early hours of the morning, to our disappointment, we were given one family room! My partner was furious, the hotel staff couldn't give us another room as they were all booked and my partner ended up sleeping in the lobby on a sofa as not appropriate for him to sleep in the same room as my children, 2 of them being teenaged girls! Rang Ola the next morning. The staff were totally unhelpful, saying there was nothing they could do, to write a complaint on our return and another member of staff was so rude and insulting, I had to put the phone down! We had to pay an extra £350 on top of the £4,000 we had already paid for us to have 2 separate rooms! Since writing a complaint, Ola have disputed this, even though it says we booked a "family connecting room" on our booking form and they could only apologise! They haven't even offered us a reimbursement when it is clearly their error! I will persist with this complaint and if it means going to solicitors, then so be it. This mishap on Ola's part totally ruined our holiday:- not only having to pay out extra money which reduced our funds for trips etc but the sheer upset and inconvenience it caused my family. Shame on you Ola - I hope people take this review and the other reviews on board before booking with you! They might be cheap but PLEASE use a reputable agent to book your holiday with NOT Ola holidays!

Terrible Customer Service!

Our holiday was good value but the customer service was terrible when we encountered issues with our booking when we arrived! Still not had a call back and we are home after 2 weeks holiday.

Don,t Go Ola

booked hotel got put in a different one & now ola holiday's tops the worst ever company to book a holiday with, write a complaint as they asked me, no got back in touch. I am now waiting for my company to send me working near their office so I can call in personally & voice my opinion, cause if they think by not replying I tell them its not.

Booked with ola through teletext, no problems recieved all our confirmation within a few days could not fault them great price would recomend this company.

Problems And Telphone Nightmare With Ola Holidays

ok so I made a late booking, the booking process was fine. However, I never received any emails. Then they changed the hotel etc., and place , they did allow £50 off which I thought was ok but later thought otherwise.

I had to phone Thomsons to get confirmation of the flight. We never got email confirmation from Ola, until I spent ages on the phone to them, to get them to send the confirmation, thankfully it arrived in time The hotel transfer was very do it yourself, to find the correct coach and where it was at the airport- luckily I speak Spanish. Transfer took hours, and then had to get the hotel to contact the transfer company next day to get return confirmed.

Arrived at hotel with 9 year old, only to be told that although the flight was booked for 6/8/2013, there was no room at the inn !!! it was high season and we were told we would probably have to sleep outside ( it was now the middle of the night). Once again the hotel rescued us by finding us a room at their sister hotel, and getting taxi to take us there.

As I said we did book last minute but they should be more professional, and also take note of all the complaints. I would also like to criticise their ad on teletext as it gives a local number - only reason I phoned them as it was local, and I thought any problems would be easy to sort out - what a joke.

I would never use this company again nor even look at teletext holidays.

Changed Bookings

Booked for Santorini with OLA Holidays. They seemed cheap and cheerful the booking process was fine. Flights with Easyjet.

They firstly cancelled our booking for no reason and they stated I had contacted them to do this. I had not. They couldn't offer me a reason or who had actually done this they reinstated the holiday and asked for £ 55 extra which I refused to pay. I said I would book rooms else where and claim my money back via VISA. All of a sudden they waived the charge.

When we arrived in resort we had booked 3 self catering appartments for 6 people and only got 1 the other rooms were room only.

I contacted them in resort via email and they simply contacted the hotel owner who said I was a bad man as we could all share a kitchen.

Since then been trying to get some compensation out of them without luck. Sent off the small claims court letters today and have asked for a visa chargeback.

Avoid this company rather poor staff.

Avoid Ola !!!!!

I cannot believe this company get away with what it does. Disgusting customer service and non existant managers, fobbed off call after call. Avoid at all costs !!!!!!!!!!!!!

Rubbish Company - Avoid

We booked our in January to go to Kefallinia in Greece to stay at the 5* Utopia spa and resort.

An hour before our flight my friend received an email not even a phone call from Ola asking her to call them. We were then informed that they had changed our hotel to a 3* on the other side of the island. We were rudely told that if we did not go holiday then we would receive no refund. The lady also told us to our dismay that we may even enjoy it once we got there. Having decided to go and try and enjoy ourselves we arrived at the hotel (having had to pay an extra 30 euro than originally needed to in the taxi) to be told that the reception had no idea who we were or why we were there, as Ola had not booked us in. The staff at the Ionian Sea hotel were wonderful and assured us that we would have somewhere to stay for the night. Ola eventually sent them our booking the next day.

Having tried to contact Ola on holiday via email asking them to call us they would not and they refused to give us a mangers email address. To take the mick even further they ended every email with a smiley face... we were not smiling. Thanks Ola for ruining our holiday!! AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS!

The staff could do with customer care training to say the least!

Nightmare

Our flights where canceled due to French air traffic control strikes and Ola holiday only needed to provide a short letter to say they have not refunded any holiday money back to us so we could claim our money through our insurance company, as the insurance will happily pay out as long as Ola have not refunded the money back but after many phone calls and talking to the management they refused to issue any letter. We have now lost all our holiday money and my pregnant wife won't get her holiday before the baby is due.

Thanks Ola holidays how long would it take to write or email a single sentence.

I recommend using any other holiday company other than Ola they are only an ok company then when something goes wrong then they are a massive nightmare.

Ola Holidays

We booked a holiday in June 2013 with Ola Holidays. All inclusive to palma nova. 4 Adults and 3 Children. We had a great holiday no problems at all from start to finish. Would book with Ola Holidays again. Great price too.
