Do Not Go There All You Buy Is Hassle
i booked a flight 22nd april paid £100 deposit i said i would pay the full amount the following monday,they agreed, as it happened i tried to pay on the friday, they wouldnt take the money i had to speak to xxxx, also tried the saturday, i was told will be in the office later, i rang later, i was told xxxxx doesnt come into the office saturday ring monday, i ask cant you take my money, they said no you have to speak to xxxx.
the monday came i spoke to xxxxx, the flight i had booked had gone as i was supposed to pay friday, which was total rubbish he agreed the monday as i had to transfer money from one account and i new it wouldnt be ready till the monday,i also think it gets transfered to a call centre in india i dont think its here in the uk as they say.
What ever DONT use them and dont part with your hard earned cash

Don't Ever Trust This Company
www.megacheapflights.co.uk was quite literally the worst travel company I had ever been with and I have travelled a fair amount in my life and dealt with many companies over the years. ABSOLUTELY DREADFUL - DO NOT PUT YOUR TRUST IN THIS COMPANY. They took us for fools and they were happy to do it.
The initial booking I had made was a flight with Kuwait Airways to which I had quoted just under 700GBP/pp for. I then agreed to book this flight for myself and my partner, initially using my father's credit card as I had to borrow the money from him at the time. The travel agent was happy to take the money and informed me only AFTER the payment had already been taken that there was an issue with the fact that the credit card was under a different name and then asked me to provide details to authorise the transaction. From this I understand that to authorise a transaction, the payment would not have been taken yet considering the fact that it is still authorising. Yet apparently, this has already been done. It took a few days before I could provide the documents needed seeing as my father is quite a busy man and by this point I have been told that they have changed our itinerary and our flight price has gone up to 850GBP without prior notice to us. He claimed he had been "calling me but to no avail" however I did not receive any such phone calls, and no voicemails were ever dropped to me. I wanted a refund due to this poor business practice and was told that this was impossible as they had already paid for the flight, but what I don't understand is HOW because they cancelled the flight with Kuwait Airways so surely this would have been refunded considering the reason we lost our seats on this flight is because they were apparently sold to someone else? I called them to voice how outrageous this situation was yet the way they had handled it was so rude and to be honest, myself and my partner just wanted to enjoy our holiday so we let it go and just paid the remaining flight price.
The new itinerary was also very peculiar, passing us on to British Airways to China Airlines via London to Vienna, to Vienna to Taipei and then from Taipei to Manila. We were given 45 minutes to catch our connecting flight from Vienna in which the plane was 15 minutes late to land. This caused our baggage to be left behind on the way and as of yet, 3 days after we have arrived in Manila we are STILL waiting for our baggage. We spoke to British Airways staff in London and they were so shocked that a travel agent could be so IRRESPONSIBLE AND INSOLENT considering the fact that they always advise travel agents to give at least an hour and a half for a connecting flight. Clearly, megacheapflights.co.uk have not followed this brand standard protocol and shows just how much they fall beyond the trading standards. When we called them, our travel agent was merely just being rude to myself and my partner calling us "stupid" and that it was "our fault" that the baggages were delayed. In the end we both got frustrated, we are normally rational and respectable people but in this case we both got very angry and ended up shouting and swearing down the phone as his manner was quite honestly the most appalling thing I have ever encountered in my life. He hung up on us a few times as well and when asked to be put through to his manager he repeatedly refused and eventually gave us a fake name for a manager. We tried to take it upon ourselves to find the parent company but the company we found "Airlord Worldwide Flights" was a previous parent company who had deliberately detached themselves from megacheapflights.co.uk because of their appalling way of running the business. Again, surely this shows just how much they fall by their expected trading standards.
Please, if you want to save yourself the frustration, anger and upset then DO NOT EVER BOOK A FLIGHT WITH THIS COMPANY AS THEY WILL NOT RESPECT YOU AS A CUSTOMER AND THEY WILL MESS YOU AROUND BIG TIME!!!!! I will definitely be reporting these people to the Trading Standards Institute at the very least.

I have experienced exactly the same today 4th June 2013 with regard to a payment made yesterday. This is despite my calling them before I made the payment to ask if the price they quoted was still valid before making a payment and I was assured that it was.
It was not until I contacted them this morning to ask for the ticket they said they where processing yesterday that they got back to me to say the price quoted previously had now expired and the next available price offer is for £95 more.
In fact the precise wording of their email was: "The ticket price which I had given you that has expired due to not paying full amount now same price is not available and now i have given you next available price". Clearly they had not done their homework before sending the email because I had paid the full price for the price they initially quoted.
I called to ask for a refund and they tried to offer me an indirect flight for the initial price they quoted. An indirect flight does not suit my purpose in any way. Even their manager insisted on taking the same stance.
How can an administration fee be charged when they have not even issued a ticket?! All they have done is quoted a different price and nothing more!
They are are clearly an unscrupulous lot seeking to defraud anyone who will not stand their ground. However, I have demanded a full refund, otherwise I will take proceedings for the recovery of the full amount.
I actually experiencing same problem right now and still in the process of negotiations.
Hello Heidi78's, sorry to hear about your saga with this company. Just make sure that you do not allow them to take advantage of you in any way.
I was prepared to fight them tooth and nail for every penny because I was appalled and indignant at their ploy to defraud me, and I made it clear to them that their sales strategy was fraudulent.
After several lengthy and frustrating telephone conversations with the sales person and his manager on 4th June, and my husband speaking to them to try to see reason; they were still condescending – firstly, speaking to me as if they were doing me a favour by offering an alternative though indirect flight because the price was close to the amount that I had paid for the direct flight and secondly, insisting that I would be at a loss of £50 if I chose the option of a refund.
I made sure that I emailed the sales person and their customer support team setting out details of every conversation I had with him and his manager, and forwarded every email that had been exchanged between us. In my email I was resolute that I must be repaid in full otherwise I would seek recovery of the balance through the small claims court because Megacheapflights.co.uk had done nothing but quote a price and no ticket had been issued; so I was not bound to the terms of any ticketing policy.
By 10th June, these charlatans masquerading as travel agents refunded £550 of my £575. On the 10th of June, I challenged them about not refunding the full amount. They stated that they had only deducted an administration fee of £25 rather than £50. Basically, the sales person’s tone was as if they were doing me a favour by not deducting the whole £50; the cheek of it!
Again, I was adamant that if I was not refunded in full I will seek to recover the balance through the small claims court. My husband also let them know that the UK trading Standards needed to be informed of their malpractice.
Following my complaint on the 10th, someone from the company sent me an email on the same day apologising for the inconvenience caused, stating that my case had been escalated to the administration/finance departments and that I must receive the full refund within next 7days.
On the 12th, I emailed them to ask for an update on their progress with refunding me with 7 days and I emphasised that I was expecting to see the balance in my account by 18th June. They responded within a couple of hours to say that it was being processed. Well, they did refund my £25 by the 18th.
So, please make sure that you stand your ground!
In any event, anyone who encounters such unscrupulous practice from Megacheapflights.co.uk, needs to inform UK Trading Standards, BBC Consumer Watchdog and/or similar bodies so that the general public is forewarned.

I'm going through the same thing with them, everyday they want to charge me more money for tickets they have never issued!!!

Paid a ticket that was never booked only to have them come back demanding more money for a different flight with a different route and time that was in a no way suitable to my requirements when asked for a refund I was told they wouldn't give me a full refund as they would charge an admin fee for something they never booked when asked why they had taken the payment in the first place I was rudely asked why I payed, staff and management very rude and unhelpful having to take proceedings against them

what are you doing abt the issue now as i'm in a tight spot now with no extra funds to go elsewhere. but i won't let them take another penny of my money!!!

Very Bad Experience With A Travel Agent
i booked my tickets wtih Megacheapflights.co.uk in October 2012 to South Africa. Paid for this in full at the time of booking. Travel dates were 22nd march 2013 to 5th April 2013. We were meant to receive the e-tickets within a few days after booking.
In January 2013 i chased the e-tickets with the travel agent to be told that this is not a confirmed booking. They were happy to refund the monies which obviously would have menat that i would end up paying more! After demanding that they have our monies for so long they must provide us with the tickets. This meant that i had to change the return date of my flight from the 5th April to the 4thApril. Also, the timing of the departure flights were drastically changed. Which was totally unsuitable for our wheelchair passengers - this change meant that we were sitting at Doha for at least 5hrs during the night. Our original flights were menat to leave Heathrow at 8:30pm but was booked for 4:25pm. The airline "Qatar" rescheduled the flight to 3:00pm. This again we were not informed about by the agent. I found out about the reschedule of the flights by calling the agent to ensure that all is in order.
This lead to a lot of tension and stress before our holidays especially when you have two wheelchair passengers! The meals booked were incorrect.
I will never use them again - think twice before using them!!!!!!!!!!!!!
