Flight Centre Robs Elderly Woman My 71
FLIGHT CENTRE ROBS ELDERLY WOMAN
My 71 year old mother booked and pre-paid a round the world trip from australia recently which included accomodation staying at Holiday Inn - New York 57th street.
She booked and paid for this over 2 months ago via Flight Centre Hollywood -Salisbury Downs S.A
After a very long flight to New York, she arrived to be told that her room was not booked or paid for - she was told she had to pay for the room again and had to leave the next day. - she had paid for 10 nights to Flight Centre.
I called the travel agent to be told that it was all sorted and the hotel made the mistake.
I was again told on 3 different occasions that she would be refunded, however this never occured
This was not sorted and my mother has been forced to pay twice, the hotel staff were rude and the room had no hot water which they wouldnt fix - flight centre told me it was not their problem - they reccomended this hotel.
My mother was then to board a flight from NEW YORK to Amsterdam & when she got to the airport she was told she had not been booked on the flight - she was told the flight was full and couldnt get on, she was reduced to tears and then told if she paid for the flight she could get on standby.

We have spoken with Geoffery from United Airlines who has advised your mother's ticket purchased from Flight Centre has been used for the New York - Amsterdam sector. They were not able to locate a duplicate payment made to the airline directly in their systems, and have requested that your mother's billing statement be supplied on her return for them to reimburse her.
Regarding the issue with the hotel, we can confirm they have charged our wholesaler as well for the room and we are unable to explain why they charged her a duplicate amount on arrival. Please also have your mother contact the Flight Centre store on her return with this receipt so we are able to finalise the matter for you.

We Booked Two Months In Advance For A 1 Week Vacat
We booked two months in advance for a 1 week vacation in Las Vegas with Kerri at the Yonge & Eglinton location. She put one of our names wrong in the ticket (middle name was on the passport) - thank god we noticed. We booked our show tickets to Cirque du Soleil Ka. We thought we'd "splurge" and paid $534.00 for two tickets. Got our reservation confirmation a week before and saw it was $301.00. Keri could not explain to us the extra $234 charge. She said the breakdown was "weird" and that was all she had to offer. She said she would call us back to see if something could be done about this. Of course we have not heard from her. DO NOT book with Flight Centre. We haven't been on vacation in 4 years and I truly regret setting foot there.

I Went To A Flight Centre Store To Book A Series O
I went to a Flight Centre store to book a series of flights in Europe. I told the agent I started to look online and she said that in store they are able to find better prices than the internet because they have better ways of looking using their system. She gave me one quote to start off and then I said I'm sure I could find better, so then she made some changes and gave me a second quote which after was about $500 cheaper than the first quote so I thought it sounded like a good deal. She pressured me that if I don't book right away the price will increase so I accepted and signed. As soon as I got home I checked the exact same flights online at Expedia and it came to $360 cheaper than what I paid! I complained but they would not do anything as I already signed. I felt completely lied to and cheated and this company has absolutely no business skills to handle a complaint and make a customer happy. I was planning the trip with a few friends and they were all ready to purchase tickets through them if I got a good deal. Obviously I advised them and anyone against booking with this agency. They will absolutely charge you more! Check yourself online. In the past I have always booked with Expedia and always found the best price with them and never had a problem. I have learned my lesson but I advise everyone to stay away from this company unless you want to make a bunch of liars and scammers some money!

I Only Wish That I Had Read These Reviews Before M
I only wish that I had read these reviews before making the mistake of going to Flight Centre to book my vacation. I was able to get a great deal on my vacation, only because I had already found everything myself online and brought it in with me. I had a terrible experience since the information on my itinerary was incorrect. I tried to e-mail and telephone the agent at the location I had booked, and he was "out of the office". The Team Leader who answered the phone was not interested in helping me. She misled me and said that I had to wait 3 hours for the system to update, but she would correct the mistakes. She rudely accused me of signing-off on incorrect information. After the 3 hours I tried to re-print my itinerary only to find the information was STILL INCORRECT!
I was lucky enough to contact my airline and tour company directly to sort out the problem. They notified me that the Flight Centre agent never contacted them or attempted to correct the information, which is easily done in an instant (not 3 hours).
I should have simply booked my vacation myself online and saved all the aggravation. Based on my personal experience I will not book with Flight Centre again, and I recommend you avoid this company as well.

Please do not put yourself through the horror my whole wedding group was put through. The flight centre in Barrie, Ontario at the Georgian Mall is horrid. I had three different travel agents. The first two quit without warning, and the third, the manager, didn't seem like she knew what she was doing either. The end result so far is my invitations went out with the wrong date, because of the first travel agent. And many many many more problems. Their solution was to give us a FUTURE travel voucher, which we would never use, because we would never travel through them again!!! Please do not book with them and ruin something as amazing as a trip.

IF YOU HAVE SOME EXTRA MONEY AND YOU DON'T KNOW WHO TO GIVE IT TO THEN YES THEY ARE THE RIGHT PEOPLE...THEIR QUOTE IS GOING TO BE ALWAYS 200-400$ MORE THAN ANY OTHER TRAVEL AGENT OR EVEN ONLINE YOU CAN FIND CHEAPER TICKETS BY URSELF.

Appalling nonexistant customer service. Name misspelled on boarding pass,wrong address for travel insurance policy. Insufficient information given by "customer service" reps. I wish that there was a half or a quarter of star that could be used for the customer service rating. I will never enter one of these so called travel services ever again. I would have liked to have known before entering the establishment that the emplyees had not been properly trained, are rude, driven by commission, and cannot enter client's data accurately. The location in Calgary Chinook Centre is especially particulary poor and I have received better and mre informed customer service from 7 / 11 employees.

The manager at the Southcentre Flight Centre was the one who booked our trip two years ago. Everything from filght to hotel to tickets were wrong and messed up. The worst thing was that we called them the moment we landed and they couldn't have cared less. In fact they blamed US for the screw up. DO NOT EVER, EVER BOOK WITH THE FLIGHT CENTRE!

The Staff I Have Dealt With Are Inexperienced And
the staff I have dealt with are inexperienced and their were constant inaccuracies in booking which we had to correct. trying to get them to ring back was non-existent. was going to cost $120 to cancel a hotel reservation 9 months in advance once booked. booked thinking we were getting a good price on ticket to Europe at their "Expo" and could have got ticket a couple of weeks later $700 cheaper!!

Flight centre is a disgrace. I have asked them for numerous quotes and never got a reponse from anyone. I have rang and emailed. Our recent trip to Bali was booked through them our itinary had us staying for 15 nights when we received our tickets we are only now staying for 13. All the girl did was say "Im so sorry about that" and gave us back $40.00 This is not good enough! Flight centre ruined our holiday!
