We Travelled To Sigri, Lesvos With Direct Greece L
We travelled to Sigri, Lesvos with Direct Greece last year. My friends also went to Kefalonia and Stoupa with Direct Greece and said their representatives were wonderful and couldn't do enough for them. On their recommendation we decided to give them another chance, and have booked to go to Stoupa, otherwise based on our experience in Sigri we would never have booked with them again.
I wrote to Direct Greece to complain when we got home, but I am still waiting for their reply.
We went to Sigri in 2003 & 2004 and we found that the rep was brilliant - I left some goods at the airport on the way home which she retrieved for me. I can only think that she must no longer be there Rep. I would give every thing 100% except for the transfer because of the distance. We have holidayed with Direct Greece for the last seven or eight years and we are going with them to Halki next month.

We Flew To Kefalonia With Direct Greece In Septemb
We flew to Kefalonia with Direct Greece in September 2004, and I just cannot fault them. The flight was very pleasant - the staff particularly good as my husband is an extremely nervous flier and they checked on him constantly. When we arrived in Kefalonia, as we were in private villas, the rep had to organise a taxi for us. The local taxis were arguing that they wanted a lot of money to take us to where we were going, and our rep was furious with them as it was twice the normal price. She actually got a policeman out of the airport and made them take us for the normal price.
Once we got to the villas and settled in (they were absolutely splendid), our rep came by that evening to check everything was OK. For the rest of the holiday she called on us every other day, and if she missed us, then she would leave a note with her mobile number to call her if there were any problems.
She really knew the island - she actually lived there herself, and recommended all the best restaurants, and the quite out of the way places to go to avoid the tourists.
At the end of the holiday, she came and found us at the airport and checked that we had everything, that my husband was OK again about flying, and it was actually quite a sad goodbye.
Nothing was too much trouble, and she really went out of her way to ensure that we had a good holiday and that we had no problems. She was fantastic, and I cannot rate Direct Greece enough.
Similarily my Mum also travelled with Direct Greece to Zante at the same time, and her partner suffered from a heart attack whilst on the island. They had two reps and they sorted everything out for my mum, from phoning the doctor and the ambulance, to getting my mum to and from the hospital everyday, to getting them back to England (which took almost six weeks due to their insurance company). From start to finish they were wonderful, and again nothing was too much trouble - often giving up their own free time to help my mum, when she was on her own. They even found my mum more suitable accommodation nearer to the hospital so that she could visit more easily.
Due to the fantastic reps and this tour company, we have booked our holiday with them this year (Direct Holidays - same company), and really would not consider any other tour operator now after such wonderful service and care from all the reps.
20 out of 10 for this superb company!!
All I can say is that this company just gets better. This year we had booked to go to Egypt with Direct Holidays, of which Direct Greece is their sister company.
After some thought we decided to go back to Kefalonia this year and spoke with Direct Holidays to see if we could change. They said it was not problem, but it would all have to be done via Direct Greece. So I phoned them, and within one phonecall to an extremely helpful and pleasant lady, it was all sorted.
They are just fantastic, and the only fault is that this year they do not go to the greek island we want to go to, so all I can say it, Direct Greece, just expand over the Greek Islands a little more, but keep up your excellent service.
Once on Kefalonia, our rep Helen this year, was just as pleasant and helpful as our rep last year. Again nothing was too much trouble and she was always at the end of a phone if we needed her.
Keep up the good work Direct Greece and Direct Holidays - I just wish a few more tour operators were a good as yourselves. Superb!!
