Aaa, That Is The Automotive Association Of America

AAA, that is the Automotive Association of America, is now using them to book tickets without telling you, so when you try to make revision to a travel itinerary they want to charge a $800 fee. Even for such things as changing from a King to two double beds (even though at the hotel two double beds is actually cheaper & available based from the Hotels site).

Shame on AAA for working with such a group of thiefs.

The company shows a good far on their website, when you try to book it says - cannot be booked. Then you have to call and the representative tells you all the seats are booked and the price has gone up. You ask them is their commission still the same as the website and you say yes. Then they book your ticket give you a final price. When you get the confirmation 12-24 hours later, you find out they charged you a $50 commission. when you call to tell them that they said the commission is the same as the website, they call you a liar and say their notes say otherwise. The representative has just conned you and you didn't even see it coming. Then they continue to lie and say it is your fault you have to pay.

They Made My First Name "miss Jane" Rather Than Ju

They made my first name "MISS JANE" rather than just JANE. Therefore, I had all kinds of hassle when I went to check in for my flight since, obviously, my first name is not "MISS". I managed to still take my international trip, but not without a lot of hassle on every leg. Then I did not get mileage credit b/c of the name error. I checked the booking when I got the email, and from the way it was typed out though, it just looked like MISS was my title, not my first name ("DOE/MISS JANE"). What kind of company hires people that make these kinds of mistakes?! The response I got from customer service was dismissive. They made it seem like it was MY fault I did not pick up on the fact that they actually made my first name MISS.

Horrible! I wish I had read these reviews before booking! I will never ever use 1-800-CheapSeats again!

About Six Hours After I Spoke To The 1800cheapseat

About six hours after I spoke to the 1800CheapSeats call center, the confirming email arrived. All the flights were on Delta so I immediately called Delta to confirm the flights, it would have been nice if CheapSeats had provided the Delta reservation number, and I was pleased and relieved to find that the flights were on their system.

CheapSeats' website says they have to go through the excruciating process of waiting 12 - 24 hours to confirm flights because of credit card fraud. So why doesn't Expedia or any of the other travel sites? I'm not smart enough to understand this but here is what I'll take from this experience. If I can save a lot of money with CheapSeats I'll go through the hassle of using them again. If the savings aren't significant, I'd pass on them.

I bought two tickets to Costa Rica and they more than double charged my credit card and tried to put me through to several different people. Then they said I would have to wait several weeks to get my money back. DO NOT USE THIS WEBSITE! It is a sham.

I Booked A Ticket On Their Online Site For A Certa

I booked a ticket on their online site for a certain date, paid for it, and then got a confirmation for a ticket on a different date! It was for a day later, a different airline, and a different flight, and it cost more, so I know I didn't mistakenly click on the wrong flight. When I called their customer service line, they started off the discussion as real jerks. I was so surprised - I've never had anyone talk to me like that. I stayed as calm as I could and eventually talked to their senior customer service rep. However, he was the biggest jerk of all, he said they could cancel my ticket but would charge me a big cancellation fee and then said that there was nothing you can do about it. I told him that my only option at that point would be to dispute the charge with my credit card company, since I felt it was unwarranted and he replied that I was being dirty and underhanded. What? So when they finally got around to cancelling the flight, they cancelled the wrong one (I had booked another flight for a different trip that same morning) and four customer service calls later, they were able to cancel the correct one. Unbelievable.

This Company Is Terrible. They Gave Me The Wrong

This company is terrible. They gave me the wrong flights. Then they charged me a cancellation fee. Then they did not refund my money for two months. My money was only refunded after writing to their president! This company is a mess and has terrible customer service. Don't bother with them.
