What A Rip Off!

Warning ! Do not waste £2000 training with this company! The 95% pass rate is utter lies as found this out with my homework. They do not care whether you pass or fail as all they are after is your money, 3 test attempts on a little minor error and they fail you, still no class two license after 19 years of safe accident free driving in a 7.5 ton vehicle, all the other drivers that trained with sterling failed that week as found out! There was one guy that failed seven times, sterling were very good at training him eh!!!

Surprised

Looking into doing my Class 1 and really surprised to read these reviews. I took my Class 2 licence in April 2005 - I'd never driven anything bigger than a minibus at the time and I did a 3 1/2 day course with my test at the end. My instructor was fantastic, encouraging, experienced - although I believe he was about to retire. I passed first time and the other learner with me failed on one small point, passing on the next attempt. Having stayed in my current career (teaching) I am now thinking about changing jobs and had hoped to go back to the same company. Having read the reviews I don't think I will!!

Not A Pleasant Experience.

Complete waste of time and money. Didn't have much problem with the organisation but my instructor was possibly one of the most objectionable men I have met in my life. I've held a car driving license for more than 30 years with never having a point on it or an accident, but after one day in the cab with this man I felt like I didn't have the confidence to drive anything.

Should have realised when we went for a break in a cafe and some of his fellow instructors were joking about how few people he gets through the test.

Sterlinglgv Cons

I lost £1738 back in 2008. Absolute rip off. Lack of any standards, little knowledge about trucking, poor instructors skills. It seems they're happy to steal your money by letting you fail and rebook new classes. Collaboration with testers in Gilligham possible. Any ideas how to recover loss would be appreciated.

Ccj Against This Company. They Haven't Paid

I paid this company £200 as a deposit for a LGV course. They tried selling me a different course, when I alerted them to this they asked for more money for the original course. I asked for my money back. They didn't return it so I went to court and won. They never paid the CCJ and now I'm left wondering how I can enforce it.

If you was on dole then they should of paid for it, I have been driving forklifts for years and you wouldn earn that money in todays climate. Driving a telkehandler you can earn good money, they saw you coming and your a prat for giving 1350 away.

Do Not Use This Firm!

BOOKED 4 GUYS FROM MY COMPANY TO DO COURSES WITH 1ST CLASS TRUCKING, THEY TOOK MY MONEY,(APPOX £4,400) THEN SENT NOTHING IN RETURN AND ARE VERY RUDE ON THE PHONE, ITS TAKEN 8 MONTHS TO BOOK THEORY TESTS AND STILL NOTHING.

AFTER WAITING SOO LONG I TOLD THEM I WANT A REFUND AND THE GEEZER BIRD ON THE OTHER END OF THE PHONE SAID "BOLLO**S" AND HUNG UP. CURRENTLY TAKING THEM TO COURT. I HAVE HEARD THAT THEY ARE UNDER INVESTIGATION FROM THE OFFICE OF FAIR TRADING, BBC WATCH DOG AND VARIOUS OTHER BODIES.

****1ST CLASS TRUCKING.....MORE LIKE 1ST CLASS CROOKS!****
