Service request was generated by a hot water problem with an oldish boiler (16 years old). PP arrived on time, identified the cause of the problem and recommended a new boiler without being pushy about it. Vaillant system Boiler and new time clock installation done with 2 weeks of original service appointment (pretty good for December). Again PP arrived on time, equipped with dust sheets and hoover, explained broadly what they would need to do and then got on with it - very tidy workers, worked all day (this also involved having to do some works outside in a 2nd floor box gutter) bar a short break to get additional piping and some lunch. Boiler up and running and no problems so far... and it shows how inefficient sub par the old one must have been. PP did an excellent job clearing up and taking away every last bit of rubbish. Although undoubtedly not the cheapest firm around, I could not fault them, and think it was money well spent.

I am yet to make a formal complaint about this trade man who carried out half an hour work, however took 4.5hrs according to him and charged me nearly £800. I can get whole plumbing work and new bath suit fitted for that. All he did was change over flow pipe under the bath tub and decided to put silicon on my bathtub. All, pls be WARNED, no one should ever attempt to call them for any plumbing work. They charge you £150 an hour and even for call out and back of that, they rip you off by pretending that they cant find the leak to waste time and when he does, he doesnt fix, but waste an other hour looking around the flat. Eventually when he dicideds to fix, he doesnt even have the material, ie silicon or pipe, send someone else to get it for him from shop which takes an other hour. IS THIS ACCEPTABLE????? I AM GOING TO TAKE THIS UP WITH WATCH DOG, this should not be allowed to do this to anyone esle, just imagine if it was an old person!!! I AM Is this acceptable? I am mortified by this. Salma

My flat had a working boiler and working hot water throughout. Unfortunately I arranged a boiler service with Pimlico which resulted in a replacement pump to the boiler(two visits)and no hot water in the shower which apparently was unrelated to the work carried out.This required two further visits. Total charge £1500. Aggressive approach to payment, still not received invoice and will not use again.

Pimlico Plumbers and their electrician have restored our faith in tradesmen, having suffered some bad experiences in the past. Every aspect of the work done, from initial phone calls through to completion of a number of complex jobs, has been first rate. We particularly appreciated the excellent communication, both with the office staff at Pimlico Plumbers and with the person I dealt with. Both kept us informed at all times as to availability and progress. he electrician was punctual, always polite and very pleasant, skilled and knowledgeable - a real asset to the company. Initially we felt Pimlico Plumbers were too expensive but undoubtedly you get what you pay for. For peace of mind, freedom from hassle and work well done, it's well worth it.

We arranged for a Pimlico Plumber to attend to fix a leaking loo and quote to replace wooden panelling around the loo and sink which was rotting. He was due around 2pm, but only turned up at 7.15pm. Spent 10mins, said he couldn't fix the leak as didn't have parts, and quoted £2,000 for the entire job. We were billed by Pimlico for a full hour's call-out of £130 plus VAT, £156, for 10 minutes in our home and 10 minutes while he was in his van. Apparently there is a minimum hour charge, even though the terms and conditions on the website say that work is charged based on time spent. I queried this with Pimlico and offered to pay for 1/3 of an hour, and then 1/2 but they refused, and I ended up paying them the £156 as we didn't have time to carry on arguing. By the way we got whole job done by an independent plumber for £300, he did a great job. I will never use them again, and can't see why anyone would unless really desperate

I have been using Pimlico Plumbers for several years and have generally been very pleased with the service. Unfortunately on this occasion, what turned out to be a relatively simple (and cheap) fault with a timing clock turned into a bit of a marathon, requiring 5 visits and close to £1000 cost before the problem was finally diagnosed correctly and rectified. Whilst I appreciate there is always an element of trail and error in these situations, I would have liked to see a greater commitment to resolving the problem, and I do think that charging for each visit, including those which did not resolve the problem, is pretty rich. On the plus side, the staff who visited were, as ever, very courteous and professional, and I shall probably continue to use them despite the cost.

Plumber arrived exactly on time. Unfortunately the problem was more complicated than expected and took 5 hours to resolve - with the hourly rates, this really adds up. However, the plumber was friendly and explained everything as he worked through the issues. After he'd fixed the original problem, he did have a problem with air locks in my system having had to drain the tanks (not his fault, just badly designed) which added about an hour to the job time. The missing star reflects the fact that it took a long time for him to contact his plumbing supplies merchant so I ended up paying for his on hold time (almost an hour in all) - I wasn't charged for the pick up travel to get the part (although this was longer than the 30 minutes he knocked off). At £130+VAT an hour, that adds a lot. I would hope that Pimlico would have more reliable relationships with its suppliers. That said, the workmanship is good and everything was cleaned up and the problem was fixed and that doesn't always happen with cheaper services in my experience.

Pimlico Plumbers provided an excellent service as usual. I use them often and are never disappointed. This time they came and assessed the roof and within a couple of days had arranged for scaffolding and the work was carried out neatly, courteously and efficiently. The roofer was helpful and flexible and polite to the tenants. Once he had finished he explained everything to me and let the premises tidy. A professional company who have never let me down.

I have used PP many times before. Pricier than others but you get what you pay for and get peace of mind.

plimico plumbers are prompt at servicing and repairing appliances they may not be the cheapest but their quotes are transparent telephone staff are always helpful the plumbers have all been knowledgable and professional and seem to go the extra mile to sort things out. we have used them over a period of years and they have always responded and attended promptly

I knew I had the top man when I saw the number plate on the van - DRA1N. Two blocked gullies cleared quickly and efficiently. Very good humoured. Worth paying a bit extra for prompt & reliable service (10 Oct 2016)

It's the first time I have used Pimlico Plumbers and I can't recommend them highly enough, such a different response to my phone call than the firm I had been using. Very helpful and charming lady who answered my call , booked a time to suit me the next day , sent round a really efficient and helpful man called who not only replaced the faulty part but went round the house checking my radiators whilst waiting to test his work and set the timer to fit in with how I wanted heat and hot water, something my late husband had always done in the past. He couldn't have been kinder and I am very grateful to all concerned, thank you I am already recommending Pimlico Plumbers to my friends and will certainly be using them again. Invoice number 904088

I have used Pimlico Plumbers for a number of years for a variety of problems. They are not the cheapest however, you can rely on them to come out, quote and get the work done. I had trouble with a fascia board above a bedroom window leaking water into the house. I spoke with a number of companies none of which were interested in this size of job. I spoke with Pimlico Plumbers, I had a quote three days later and the work was completed two weeks later. So far I have been very satisfied with the standard of work I will use them again

We were impressed how quickly Pimlico plumbers could come out. The prices are higher than smaller firms but the speed made them the right choice.

Pimlico arrived in an emergency fast - water dripping through a ceiling. The quality of the work was fine but very, very expensive. £468 to replace a leaking flexible hose under a basin. It is a pity that they don't carry more parts with them as I had to pay for the plumber to go off and buy materials. I will only use this company if no-one else is available for price reasons.

the guys I dealt with from Pimlico Plumbers came to rescue my family in the middle of a crisis, after a "local handyman" nearly exploded my blocked toillet with chemicals, not solving the blockage and creating a massive leak. The were really knowledgeble and explained every step they were taken and different approaches to to solve what became a very complex situation with minimum damage and as fast as possible. I have to say, it was not cheap, but once you go through such a bad situation where we were nearly having to leave the house, you understand that experience, knowledge and tools come with a premium. I wish I have called them in the first place, as the cheap "handyman" made everything much more expensive.

We had a problem with our en suite bathroom, which was caused by a blockage in our toilet. The Pimlico plumber came around exactly on time the next morning (after only ringing late the night before to book the appointment). He explained everything in detail step by step what he was going to do. We experienced some problems along the way and at each turn the plumber explained the obstacle and then continued after he made sure i was ok with the work that was being done and the process. I asked lots of questions all of which were answered with absolute clarity. This is around the fourth or fifth time that we have used Pimlico plumbers and each time they have been excellent.
