I cannot over state the unreliable untrustworthyness of this man.
Completely Unreliable
Never turned up on time and did not finish work he was paid for also never answers his phone he is not a tiler his tiling is poor and I personally was not impressed by his plastering the finished product was very thin and showed the joints in the boards.
I may be dealing with the same person. All his tools are at my house but he’s gone awol. I also know his address in u.k - it’s reading. This guy has mentioned France a lot. Could be a coincidence but happy to help you if it’s the guy. A long time later I appreciate.

not sure if you are still receiving queries about mr colyer, but we still havent tracked him down. We are sure he is now back in the uk, still with our money! if you find out any more information by chance, please let us know. He is being tracked down (hopefully), so he will be in a lot of trouble if he does not return our money.

Best Price And Clean Worker
Mark was the best price and I had seen his work prior to him starting so I knew what I was getting.
He cleaned up after the job and the best recommendation I can give is you are welcome to see his workmanship.
If you contact Mark he will give you my address to see his work.
He has also tiled my bathroom and I am more than happy with his work.
He also met my requirements to complete the job with English plaster.
Which he supplied at no extra cost.
Friendly and helpful I am more than happy to recommend him.

this comment is false, and made up, because this man has done a runner with our deposit money for work which should have been started in January!

I have phoned on numerous occasions and no reply I have left messages twice and no reply.
I have since had bad reports on his inability to answer his phone and unreliability so think myself fortunate to have learned the easy way

Overpriced And Poor Quality Workmanship
Asked to complete framing and boarding work to house in limousin work was with out our knowledge sub contracted to another unknown to us and the quality of finish extremly poor.
Asked for payments by e mail to english bank account saying works that had not been started were complete.Payments made in good faith and situation unknown to us until recent visit to install bathrooms found house in a mess with half completed works in nearly every room
having intially agreed to putting works right and apologising blaming all on the sub contractor failed to turn up as arranged and put works right.
At this stage visited his house and asked for the return of the keys and the money overpaid laughed and refused stating under French law payment is considered acceptance of customer satisfaction with works and as i had paid I didn't have a leg to stand on.
Only returned part of the set of keys to the property further expence having all the locks changed.
STAY AWAY FROM THIS PERSON YOU WOULD BE BETTER OFF NOT HAVING HIS WORK ON YOUR PROPERTY

Mark Colyer is an English man living in france near Bourganeuf who states he is a master plasterer and has been for 19 years i tried 3 times to get to plaster 6 walls which quoted for and promised on 2 dates to start the job none of which he carried out over the 2 weeks waiting i had cancelled many appointments as i did not want to leave him in the house alone i think he wanted me to pay him a deposit and then that would be the last i would see of him,i went round to his run down house to find he would not come to the door but sent his poor wife out to face me 9 what a waster).
ALL BEWARE OF THIS PRETEND PLASTERER i think i had a lucky escape.
He takes your money and does not finish the job. Don't use him. He is a thief too. He has stolen items.

Cheers that would be helpful we have finished the dry lining ourselfs but have a couple areas want skimming I am back out in two weeks for another sesion on the house

You certainly had a lucky escape we have had work done by mark the quality is extremly poor the ammount of work completed differed from that charged for this we did not realise and till we came from england and found out.
He promised to put things right and turn up and finish the incomplete works but failed to show at the appointed time;
He now says as we have completed the works and put right the faulty works that he does not owes us more than é days work requested keys back for the house gave us one key says he never had the others all in all poor workmanship constant lies and a waste of money steer clear at all costs
The guy is dishonest and untruthful.
