Very Good Service
I would just like to take this time to thank Mann's Travel/Tours for the excellent trip we had to Kensington Palace. The driver was great and the coach was excellent.
Mr Mann was very kind for given my group 10% off and I will like to thank you Mr Mann for organising a brilliant day out.
Absolute Disgusting.
I will keep this short as I can, as this company isn't worth the space this review will be written on.
Long story short, my grandmother booked a day out to Hastings to see her sister who she hasn't seen in a long time.
All the times were set to meet the coach driver and be transported. Sadly, the coach drove straight past her with her waiting at the stop...
After she came home in tears telling us about her disappointment, I was shortly on the phone to a Mr Mann.
At first he sounded sincere and would investigate this matter, but this wasn't good enough as my grandmother needed to attend Hastings on that day.
As this was urgent, I had to drive 70 miles to drop my nan off at Hastings just before work... Which cost me a good £30 in petrol to get there and to work..
Speaking to Mr. Mann again, he stated that there was an 'error' between both manns travel and the sister company - and that she could get back on the coach when she needed to leave in Hastings.
After 3 weeks of following up the complain, and holding onto all receipts for additional costings - Because this incompetent company cannot keep the simplest records of names, dates and times.
Mr Mann confirmed that they would be only refunding half of the coach ticket (£7), and stated that they would not refund any of the petrol used to get my nan to the destination because it was our choice.
Mr Mann's words were " I really don't care if you use us again".
My nan has been using Manns Travel for a few years now, and frankly will not be using them again neither be recommending them to family and friends.
My nan paid by card, and will be contacting her bank to dispute the amount.
Absolute disgusting company and management.
DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY, READ THE REVIEWS FIRST - DO NOT FUND THESE PEOPLE.

My wife and I booked a day coach trip to Bath, Somerset with this company which was due to depart on a Sunday morning and the pick up time given to us was 6.55 am. I had never been to Bath before so was looking forward to the experience and my wife was particularly excited about the trip and we had arranged our whole weekend around it. We woke up very early on this day packed a lunch for the outing and got to the pick up point 15 minutes early. However come 6.55 there was absolutely no sign of the coach and we had been given no way of contacting the driver. We tried to call the company’s office but there was no answer from them either that early on a Sunday morning however we did leave a message on their answer phone. We decided to wait a bit longer in case the driver was running just a little bit late but a full hour later there was absolutely no sign of anything so at this point we resigned ourselves to the fact that we were going nowhere that day and walked home again disappointed and upset, my wife especially, that our day had been ruined. We tried all that day to get through to the company and left further messages on their answer phone but still no response. We had no idea what the reason was for this if for instance they made a mistake or the company had gone bust, the trip was cancelled or our names had just been missed out of the drivers pick up list etc.
However the following day we finally managed to get through to the office to be told that they had changed the pick up time for us from 6.55 to 6.30 am and the driver did show up at that time and waited for us but conveniently he left around the same time that we got there. The company claimed to have sent us a recorded delivery letter explaining that the time had changed and admittedly a letter had been attempted to be delivered by the post office the previous morning but we were not in at that time to be there to sign for it. Regardless of this no attempt to call us or communicate with us by other means was made to ensure we were of the time change at such short notice and to send a letter and expect us to be at home to collect it and read it less than 24 hours before the trip is in my view completely unreasonable. Because it was a Saturday and you have to leave 24 hours before collection of missed deliveries from the post office there was also no way we could of gone to pick up the letter in time and we had no idea at the time either that this missed letter was related to our coach trip anyway. If they had tried to inform us and sent a letter several days before the trip date and we had missed the delivery then fair enough as we would have had plenty of time to go collect it from the delivery office but less than a day before departure? I think that is completely unreasonable and they should have called us and at least left a message on our answer phone to make sure we had been informed of the change.
The company tried to offer us a discounted trip for our trouble later in the year but having completely lost faith in their service at this point they eventually agreed to refund us the money but said that their machine was not working so they could not refund the money back to the debit card we paid for the trip on there and then and said they would send out a cheque for next day delivery which would take several days to clear. However come the next day like their coaches this had not arrived so my wife called them to complain further that the money had not been received only to be met with rudeness and hostility by the company’s owner a Mr Gary Mann who insulted her and implied she was lying about not receiving the recorded letter which as mentioned before is missing the point anyway. My wife mentioned speaking to trading standards about his company and Mr Mann said he did not care about this and she could go ahead and he was not going to speak to someone like her further and hung up the phone! Perhaps Mr Mann is used to dealing with more elderly customers with whom coach trips appear to be more popular who may not be as likely to stand up for themselves and complain as we were. Despite this a cheque finally arrived the next day but without a single word of apology in the accompanying letter and was promptly paid into the bank but our fingers were crossed the following few days as given the phone conversation the day before we were worried it may not clear. To our relief it did but we would have much rather had gone on the trip then get our money back and it does not change the fact that the day had been ruined and no compensation was offered for the inconvenience caused. The whole experience of this has left us with a rather negative view of the company and a loss of confidence in coach travel in general as we had never been on any coach trips before and after this i am unsure as to whether we will book any more again. Whatever we decide we will certainly not be TRYING to go anywhere with Manns Travel.
This was an unfortunate set of cirumstances ,and yes the times where changed and the trip did go and there was over 30 other clients that enjoyed the trip .unfortuantley Manns tours (which is Manns travel's sister company and not the coach company ) who organised the trip had tried in vain to make contact to alert the customer of the change in time and due to the nature of the time change or the reason of the time change 'was unable to contact the client by way of telephone due to not having the correct telephone number , unfortunatley our office opening times are monday to saturday and it was closed Sunday and no one was in to collect the missed calls .However there was a emergency call out Phone number on which to call in cases like this or alternatley ,the customer could of called the Coach office which is covered by an operations number on a sunday morning . It is with regret and sadness that the clients are of dissapointment with the service .And we at Manns travel and Manns Tours Apologise profuselly with this for the iconveience and great upset wich this has caused .
