“The Note II Will Blow Your Mind”

With the craze of the iPhone 5 a few months ago, everyone thought the other phones would go overlooked. This was not to be the case with the Note II however. When technology behemoth Samsung decided that they’re going to launch this fantastic piece of gadgetry a few weeks after the iPhone 5, they did so because they knew that the Note II was going to make a big bang. And so it did. While the Apple fanboys rejoiced in the street, Android followers were drooling over this beautiful 5.5” sleek device that boasted a 720x1280 screen with a massive 267 pixel per inch density.

The Note II is a large phone, no doubt, but it’s slim and weighs less than 200g which is fantastic for a phone of its size. The phone boasts the latest Android OS, Jelly Bean, and has a Quad-Core chipset which makes the experience on the device absolutely blazing fast. 2GB of RAM does of course, provide a lot of help. A fantastic 8MP camera at the rear capable of taking photographs at resolutions of 3264x2448 helps its case, as does the front facing camera, capable of HD streaming.

The most standout feature of the Note II of course, is the advancement that has been made in terms of the S-Pen. The hover functionality makes the entire experience absolutely killer, and when you’re taking down notes it almost feels like you’re writing on a notebook. It’s fantastic, it’s smooth, it’s sleek and it’s everything that you’re looking for in an Android smartphone. The Samsung Galaxy S3 is similar, although not as high powered as the Note II, and definitely isn’t able to give the amazing large screen experience that the Note II imparts on its users.

The S-Pen allows you to do a whole lot more with the device, with the right apps you’re able to work on the move, make modifications and write comments on presentations and spreadsheets if you’re looking at working on the move, or lets you make some pretty fun modifications to your photographs if you’re looking at a little activity with friends over networks. Browsing through Twitter, Facebook and other social networking websites is a breeze and no functionality seems to be lacking.

So what’s wrong with the phone? Well, for a section of consumers out there, it might be a little large. I’ve heard of a lot of people going for the S3 simply because they feel they don’t have any use for the stylus and feel that the phone is a little too big to be carried around everywhere you go. It does however, slip and fit really well into pockets of jeans and trousers, but perhaps ladies will have trouble with such a large device, it is something that was expected. Overall, the Note II is a fantastic buy and is an incredibly addicting device.

I simply dont like this product, it was engineered to suit a purpose not solve a problem. The problem was people wanted bigger screens and cleaner interfaces, yes its a cleaR interface, but without dedicated apps to suit its increased size, the note; you find your apps or webpages, dont quite fit or are not scaled to fit the screen size. Now im not a huge Apple fan but using the iphone 5 against this, yes this might be slightly quicker by a hair, i cant make any complaint to the iphone 5 simply put the apps are perfect. Theres no scaling up or down, no blur, none of this rubbish where someone makes an app for a tablet, but when you try and use it for your phone it doesnt fit the screen and vice versa. Every app is dedicated and fits the screen perfectly, no edges no mess, just clean and crisp. Actually ive found that about every Apple product ive used, i can download an app on my iphone 5 and use it immediately on my ipad and they both look the same, both fit the screen, and they work very well. Well as for the engineering issue i find with the Samsung, the iphone is designed for my hand, and well it fits perfectly, im not stretching my hand and my fingers can reach across the screen without adjustment, and best of all NO STYLUS. I do like the Samsung because its cheap, but maybe cheap Isn't the word for Quality..... I dont fancy losing my stylus either wonder how much that would cost to replace?
