The 2017 model of the Hilux is inferior to the 2011 version in almost every way. It is bigger on the outside, but smaller inside, and with inferior visibilty it is a real handfull when maneuvering. The lack of grab handles in the previous model has been addressed, but now they are everywhere, and you smack your head on them when off-road(especially with the tighter cabin space). The 2011 model was good on and off-road, but the 2017 model is too cumbersome on UK roads, and less composed off-road. Minor points: The switch now fitted for high - low - 4WD selection allows the low 4WD position to be selected, but if it has not been pushed in enough when turned it wil stay in Hi. The cabin is now much higher to climb into, so shorter people may need a step. Plus points: The alarm doesn't keep going off all the time.
