When we visited the Zen Garden Restaurant in the Fetcham area of Leatherhead our hopes were high. From the exterior it gave the experience of being a converted pub. There was ample free Car parking at the side of the pub. Things started going downhill from then onwards. Once entering the greeting was less than welcoming and the service throughout was rather offhand We were disappointed at the lack of choice for a set price menu,A each as much as like or a wide ranging set price menu is common in most Chinese restaurants. It certainly was not apparent at the Zen Garden. There was not even a midweek special that we have experienced in other Chinese restaurant we have dined at. The food itself was very average (not good not bad) and it was vastly overpriced and the cost of drinks were sky high. The restaurant was not very busy and had a zilch atmosphere. This was a costly meal and all round a very poor evening. We shall not be returning to eat here again.
