A simple change of ownership of three shareholding resulted in a nightmare of incompetence. Wrong forms sent by the Bereavement Dept,; forms not sent; share certificates sent in the Executor's name instead of the widow's; extremely high charges to transfer (over £95 per shareholding) - hours holding on the phone for them to pick-up. And all this was carried out by a dedicated Bereavement Dept. The specially created Complaints Dept was no better. The warning to everyone is that Equinity have an actual complaints dept.
Perhaps a better name for them might be Iniquity
