In March of this year we placed an order with this company from crysel peaks shopping mall.After many hours spent chasing M.Brookman for a fitting date for our panels we sent a letter 3 weeks ago threating him that we would report him to the tradings standards office.We promptly received a letter stating they would be fitted on 20/09/2011 of course they were not!!.An artical in the star alerted us that 140 people had also been conned.As pensioners we are £500 down the swanee.We have contacted both the police and trading standards office.DO NOT USE THIS FIRM!!!

My partners parents came across this company ran by Peter Brookman whilst shopping at Crystal Peaks in Sheffield back at the beginning of the year. They were told that having solar panels fitted to their property would give them free power between certain hours. The company would sell any excess power on themselves, hence why the service was supposedly so cheap!

After registering their interest... a surveyor visited the house and insisted that payment was by cheque!! So after the property had been measured up, they handed over a cheque for £500!

Months past by and we heard nothing and was not given an installment date! We were completely unable to get hold of anyone who we had previously been in touch with!

After realising that we are not going to be getting the solar panels, or the £500 back (the cheque had been cashed!) we began to look into this further and realised that this had happened to many other people up and down the country and the hands of Peter Brookman for Fair Deal Energy.

In my opinion this man and any company he set up should be avoided!
