A few days ago Id have enthusiastically recommended the S2 until the phone failed to recognise my SIM. Randomly and out of the blue.
According to Google it seems not recognising the SIM is a common problem - the operating system gets corrupted and its the talk of lots of technical forums
Despite this Samsung don't have a fix for it - and I'm not technical / foolhardy enough to attempt a fix.
I now need to travel across London to drop the phone off at a repair centre and then wait for a minimum of 2 weeks
Ill then need to reload all my apps and contacts onto it when Samsung are able to return it to me. All of this for a phone that is less than a year old which I'm still contracted and paying for.
Im back to an old Nokia for the foreseeable future - very unimpressed by Samsung
