AEG 11225 LCD

I borrowed this sewing machine and was immediately at home with it. The manual is easy to follow but the labelling and LCD display on the machine itself are so clear that there is little need to keep referring to the manual.

The machine performed very well in all its functions although I had a little trouble at first with the button holing as I am not used to doing this by machine. However that is a skill quickly mastered.

Whilst not a top of the range machine, it is a good all rounder, very easy to use and excellent value for the money.

It seemed to be well made and, whilst I have no experience of the service or support provided, I have past confidence with AEG equipment so it should prove to be reliable.

Having not used a sewing machine since I left school (over 20 years ago), I managed to set this one up without the instructions, due to its simplicity and the diagrams on the machine itself. The simple LCD display tells you which settings are suitable for each stitch type, so it really is fool proof. There are a wide variety of stitch types and as a beginner there is certainly more pre-programmed stitches available than I will probably use. The instruction book is also easy to follow and explains all the different stitches. All in all, a perfect sewing machine for a beginner but with enough functionality to keep the more experienced seamstress busy.
