“Better Than I Expected”

★★★★★

written by Wolfy on 08/09/2011

In all honesty, my one and only reason for wanting to see the final Harry Potter movie rested on the knowledge that Sirius Black would make an appearance. I had not gone into the cinema expecting too much as I had missed out on The Half Blood Prince and Deathly Hallows Part 1, so was partially unaware of half the things that were happening. However, I was pleasantly surprised having not expected it to thrill me as much as it did. I'm delighted to say I'd willingly go and watch it over and over again because I enjoyed it that much. I'd definitely recommend it to those who are Harry Potter fans and especially those who aren't, you have no idea what you're missing if you don't see this movie. It's the end of an era, which is fairly depressing when you realise it's the last one, but they ended it so brilliantly by creating such a masterpiece of a finale. Prior to the release of this movie I had favourited Order Of The Phoenix and this one is now second place, Phoenix being the top still. Whilst I enjoyed the earlier Harry Potter movies, those two in particular gained the majority of my attention and interest. Go and see it, you don't want to miss out!

“A very spectacular movie of the year”

★★★★★

In a rebuke to the customary tsk-tsking about books versus big-screen adaptations, many Potter fans have extended their love of J.K. Rowling's novels to the bold- and-sweet, dark-and-light movies. For 10 years, that ardor has been rewarded with arguably the best-realized high-quality franchise in moviedom. When critics kvetch about Hollywood's seemingly interminable case of sequelitis, the "Harry Potter" flicks are not what we're bemoaning. So here we are, at the conclusion of the young wizard's tale. And HARRY POTTER View: Images from the world premiere of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2. "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows — Part 2" shouldn't disappoint. "Part 2" is a battle-packed, emotionally charged and morally deft end to a series that has never shied away from deep and aching meaning.

“Amazing; Best one yet!”

★★★★★

In comparison to all the other Harry Potter films, this one is surely the best! Although it isn't 100% true to the book, the storyline itself is so strong it doesn't need to be. There are parts of the film which will make your heartstrings tug and often make you tear, especially *SPOILERS* where Snape dies :( His memories were portrayed in an EXCELLENT way and I love how we are finally able to see the dowdy professor in another light. I LOVED this film and watched it 3 times in under a week of it coming out. I'll definitely be buying it when it comes onto DVD :)

“I can't let him go!”

Finally it's the end of 'Harry Potter'. I haven't read the last book but it doesn't matter for watching the film. Overall, the mood of the film is a bit more serious than before. but It's a good thing to concentrate on that. The ending is a little bit simpler than I expected but not so bad. I can't believe it's finished! You should watch the film! but 3d is quite dissapointing cause the screen is too small..but if you watch it on a big screen then It'd be fine.

“Slightly disappointed”

★★★☆☆

written by redswife on 26/07/2011

After reading all of the Harry Potter books i found that the finale was slightly disappointing. There did not seem to be much action consdering the way in which the books departed this tale. I am in two minds wether to recommend this or not. It all seemed slightly rushed!

I do agree, what disappointed me more was the 3D Version, it was nothing as i had expected it. I have seen better 3D movies than this.

They shouldn't have mad a 3D Version - it so very disappointing wasting my money and wasting my eyes.

Well , it has been nearly 12 years since i met these amazing series of friendship, belonginess and protect what you had for people you care.Of course my feelings about books changed with my growing up i even thought myself dumb to give a lot of time for reading series until this film.I was thinking "now, what" when i came out the film.I felt a "bamm" it was like one of the doors to my past is closed. Most of scenes ,i prayed for "please don't end" Anyway, this film has succeeded most of film's(based on book)can't do.A brilliant finale for a brilliant serie. Thanks to David Yates and J.K Rowling who has created "Modern-Alice " and Severus Snape(i really liked his style for a sacrifice)

“Movie Review: Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows -...”

★★★★★

Ten years comes to a close in grand fashion. Two hours of stand up and cheer, break out the kleenex cries, and closure on a series of movies that captured a generation or six :) Easily the most action packed of the movies and in reality its just the final act of a very long movie. Watch part 1 before seeing part 2 just to make sure you have the set up all fresh in your heads. From Rickman to Fiennes to Carter to Smith to everyone inbetween everyone shines, not just the big names Radcliffe, Grint and Watson who once again prove that casting directors sometimes get things right. If anything the casting of the Harry Potter franchise get a lifetime achievement award. Spot on across the board.Deathly Hallows Part 2 was what we all wanted. From beginning to end we were given a ride that is for the fans of this series. If you are not, not sure whats wrong with you but move along. This is not a movie someone can just pick up and go along with, there is no emotional ties unless you have invested the time and energy into the entire series and than the payoff is magnificent. The Harry Potter films should go down in history as a masterpiece of storytelling.

“Thrilling and Touching End”

★★★★☆

written by chelsealytle on 20/07/2011

For years the Harry Potter series has continued and fans have anticipated the ending. Now it's here and I can honestly say that I, and hopefully many others, was impressed with the finale. This movie explained a lot of things to viewers that those who didn't read the books were wondering. The first Deathly Hallows movie proved to be rather slow and tedious at times, but this second part was fast paced and exciting to watch. There are numerous battle scenes and the slightly more adult themes were welcome to those of fans who have grown up watching and reading and are now old enough to enjoy a little adult humor. It's definitely the most dark Harry Potter movie and if you were hoping for something a little more child friendly, go somewhere else. The ending is a little ridiculous and could have been better planned, but didn't take away too much from the completeness of the film. Overall, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part II was one of the better movies and an outstanding ending to a great series.

Yes the film was good but there were so many unanswered questions. Like what happened to Hagrid for one. A very poor ending in book and film. Its as thought Rowling just ran out of ideas.
