The Sony Ericsson W810i phone is the best. Its far better than all the other phones I've had its so easy and reliable to use. The Sound is really good on it. The picture quality is excellent, however the game's on it are a tad rubbish need some more

The mp3 player application remains resident in memory after use (even though you cant see it) this has the result of draining the battery quite quickly (5-6 hours). If you turn the phone off and then turn on again the application isn't loaded and the battery lasts for a few days, there is no option to terminate the application short of rebooting the phone.
Also the phone takes about 1 minute to boot up after switch on. This is due to searching the networks and loading the operating system.
I have now upgraded to a K810I and these "undocumented features" have been resolved in this model. Overall a good little phone.

I've never noticed the music player battery life problem with my w810. I rarely turn it off (probably only once a month) and often accidentally switch the music player on, so the music player should constantly be resident in the memory - but my battery still lasts at least 3 days of normal use which I think is particularly impressive since it's nearly 2 years old and still on the original battery.

This a good phone especially considering how long it's been around. It has good sound quality from the in-built speakers as well as through the impressively bassy earphones. A 2 megapixel camera isn't to be sniffed at either. The phone itself has little memory but it comes with a 512mb memory card which can easily and inexpensively be upgraded.

Overall excellent clear quality screen. The Sony Ericsson W810i has a 2mp camera which is very useful when you forget to bring a camera in places where you need it. Has a very good walkman music player which has many settings and is similar to the other walkmans. It comes with a 512mb stick which is very useful as it can store lots of things such as pictures. You can get bigger memory cards but you will need to purchase them. The w810i charges very quickly around an hour and it has a very long battery life. It has many other features such as video editing and picture editing. It also comes with a few games. Overall the w810i Sony Ericsson has many fantastic features and is very good value for money.

I have owned my w910i for a year and a half and must say it's the best mobile phone I've so far owned. I have now had three Sony Ericssons, the last being the k700i which I never liked, never found easy to use and got rid of as soon as I could upgrade.
The Sony Ericsson W810i is a good looking, block type walkman phone.
The first thing about it that took some getting used to was that unlike on the earlier S-E phones there is no joystick, rather a button in the centre of a circular joy-pad. However after getting used to this arrangement I found it very easy to use, much better than the joystick as it was impossible to accidentally move the "cursor" whilst pressing the OK button which used to happen on the joystick type.
The keypad is very good, easy to use and texting is very simple as the buttons are small but well defined. However I found the walkman button on the side a bit annoying as it was too easy to press accidentally, setting off the music which is played on the speaker when no headphones are attached- can be embarrassing!
The screen is bright and clear with good resolution. The software on this phone is excellent. I have had absolutely no problems with it what so ever, it never crashes, freezes or otherwise upsets me. It's also easy to navigate and use a VAST improvement on my k700i.
The walkman is very good, the phone comes with a 512mb Memorystick pro duo card which can be swapped for higher capacity. The phone does not have a headphone socket, but the headset does have a socket where a normal 3.5mm headphone jack can be plugged in.
The battery life on this phone is excellent. I have had mine for 18 months, with it rarely being switched off in all this time. In my normal use (only about 30-60 minutes calls a day) it will last for about 3-4 days before needing a charge. Charging is very quick too taking only around an hour to fully charge from about 10%.
When using the walkman functionality, the phone will play constant music for around 4 hours before needing a recharge.
The phone has a useful 2MP camera which is fairly good, but fixed lens with no lens cover. If phone cameras are your thing you might be better with a Sony cybershot phone.
All in all an excellent little phone with very few faults. Recommended!

Based on the quality of this phone my next one will almost certainly be a Sony Ericsson.

I had the K750i for a while. Well basically until the joystick game out on me. So I was looking for a phone that was almost the same as it, but with buttons instead of a joystick. So I bought the Sony Ericsson W810i. It is quite simply the best phone I have ever had. The screen maybe small, but that doesn't matter, it is bright and colourful. The features of the phone are awesome, there are thousands of games, themes etc that can be downloaded. This is a must have phone

The Sony Ericsson W810i is a good phone that I would recommend for the price. It contains many good features, the particular plus side being not having to shell out for batteries for the MP3 player all of the time!

I have had this phone for 3 hours. I suppose because I have had an Sony Ericsson phone previously, the functions were quite familiar, but the camera gives out top quality photos, the screen and design is awesome - almost like a computer screen.
For under £90 I think this phone is just brilliant. It does need a bit of bling but what do you expect from an Essex girl?

If you want a phone that does the job you can't beat it.

All in all, I've tried many mobiles over the years and over the past few years I have chosen Sony Ericsson models every time.

The Sony Ericsson W810i is masterpiece mobile which has everything that you may want (except the 3G feature). Best camera that takes photos like Sony cybershot digital camera. Walkman is excellent . Experience the headset . Its amazing . Has Mega bass. If you are music lover then you must have it. As a phone it has good reception , voice clarity also good. Loads of download on web (free) www.lasyk.com. No need to spend money on ringtones. themes, wallpapers etc.
Now, Cons : No lens cover
Battery life not good.
Delicate charger , data cable, loud speaker port.
Most impressive advantage is it comes with 512 MB card. which is enough to start with. No other mobile comes in so low price and with such great features. I LOVE THIS MOBILE.

I bought this as a replacement for a Nokia 6230i and have to say that I've found it a much better bit of kit in every respect.
The screen is very clear and doesn't pick up dust, reception is good, the menus are easy to use and seem a bit quicker too.
The walkman feature and radio are excellent with decent headphones chucked in as standard.
The only thing I'm not too impressed with is the camera. It may just be me but I never had such a problem with blurred shots on any other camera phone, I sometimes have to re take a shot 2 or three times which is no good if it's a snapshot. That said this phone really is more about the walkman than the camera. The video is OK and when a do get a sharp picture on the camera the quality is really quite good.
Overall I'm happy with the phone and all it's gadgets, I think it looks good too and would definitely recommend it.

I have a Sony Ericsson W810i mobile phone, and I find that I never get a blurry shot. I would check your settings. My partner gets blurriness on her W800i sometimes, but I find the pictures I take with the W810i are crystal.

Fantastic entertainment phone with the best available sound quality till date(I'm sure only another sony can be on par with a sony).
Screen and image quality exceeds similar range phones of other brands.
The phone is very neat to look at so easily fits into a student's or a proffesional's looks.
I got a pair mps-60 speakers free with my phone. Believe me when i saw the size of it i jus thought that it was free and hence would be pretty ordinary, but the moment i connected it and played a song I was proved a stupid. I've never even imagined such sound quality in such small speakers.
The reception and voice clarity are really good and need to be mentioned since that is the main purpose of buying a phone.
The Earphones are superb since it fits well into the ears ( i've always had the problem with regular earphones falling off).
The shortcut keys are really handy.
I)The Play/Pause buttons start the radio or walkman or the last one used of the two.
II)The cam button when held down starts the cam
III)The volume or zoom buttons show the phone status
The voice dialling feature available like in other sony phones is very handy and is more responsive then other phones
The games coming along are not very exciting but there is always the option of downloading games which can keep you engaged..
The extendable memory is a very important feature and the provided 512 mb is more than enough for normal usage and extendable upto 4gb is an addition.
Overall the phone is a very good allround performer.
I'm still surprised, people call it a phone!!!!

I feel that the Sony Ericsson W810i is an all around good phone, it is small, but still maitains a large enough screen to actually be seen by people like me who have seeing problems when we can't find our glasses. Its is durable, and you will be amazed by the number of hidden gems it has within it. It is a phone made for music lovers and you can make playlist of your favorite music or mix beats with it's dj software. Then with the touch of one button switch to the mobile internet and check the score of the redsox game (yea, im from boston).

Brilliant sturdy phone. Packed full of features and includes all you need with it.
You will find you are still discovering new things about this phone weeks and weeks after first getting it.
Anyone remember the Play Station game called "Busta-Move", well this phone includes a game just like it called "Quadrapop", very addictive!
I play this game loads each day, listen to my MP3 play list, make and receive calls, texts etc and I am only charging the phone about every third/fourth day.
I am constantly fiddling around with it so three days is good going in my book.
I do let the battery life go down to approx 2% though, so perhaps others are charging sooner and not getting the fullest potential.
When the phone is on its normal standby screen, you can get a full "phone status" very quickly by pressing the volume down or zoom out key on the side of the phone.
This gives a detailed status of battery and memory without having to go to settings in the menu.
All in all, Sony have got this phone nearly 100% right.
