We were 'upgraded' without consultation to the Al Kahila from the Emilio. We were given a 'superior' cabin that was right at the back of the boat, above the exhausts, which was very noisy and smelly. After a great deal of hassle we were eventually moved to the deck below. It was not a spacious cabin!
The ship was far from new and furnishings were shabby and the carpet in our cabin was sorely in need of a clean.
The food was very poor and, apart from a badly labelled buffet, there wasn't much selection. - On one night there was no choice whatsoever. A set meal: like or lump it.
The only saving grace was our excellent guide, Said. We were very glad we only had to suffer 4 nights before moving to the Sonestre St George in Luxor.

We had paid Sabena Al Kahila extra to be upgraded to a suite with a balcony. We were very disappointed to find that our 'suite' consisted of a bedroom and a walk-in wardrobe and no balcony.

I totally disagree with this review . We started our cruise on the 13th feb. We were due to be on the Liberty but were moved to this ship. The ship was lovely, the food was great, and the staff were really helpful . We all agreed we would recommend this ship to our friends.
