The Roberts Rd20 Is Simple To Use. Fantastic Sound
The Roberts RD20 is simple to use. Fantastic sound. No bulky mains adapter (just a normal mains lead) - a nice bonus, and there's no audible hum or buzz from transformer in unit - a sign of real quality. What more do you want?

The Styling Of The Roberts Rd20 Dab Digital Radio
The styling of the Roberts RD20 DAB digital radio looks a little 'cyberman-retro', but it works well with reasonable sound quality. This is the first DAB radio I've had, and I was expecting exceptional reception, but I still get some crackling/interference from time to time.
The rotary quick channel selector is unusual and takes some getting used to. You have to select a channel and then quickly press another button to select it, but it also has presets so I rarely use it.
The only real drawback is that the mains connector is at the rear, which means that you have to allow a good 5cm of space as it can't go flat against a wall.
OK, since writing my original review...The radio stopped working after only 15 months. When I contacted Roberts they were less than sympathetic, suggesting only that I might like to pay £80 for them to look at it. Sorry Roberts, this is not the after sales service I was expecting! So my recommendation is steer clear. My Sony analogue radio still gives good service after 10 years!!
