This Morphy Richards 73171 Pet Orb Bagless Cylinde
This Morphy Richards 73171 Pet Orb Bagless Cylinder is just useless. The handle is the wrong end, the filter needs washing every other time you use it, the suction is very poor and it certainly won't collect hair. It would be quicker and less frastrating to use a rubber glove. The hose is not particualarly strong and kinks really easily. The attachment heard - turbo- clogs up almost instantly and you have to take the whole thing apart to clear it. The head is too big for the tiny whole for suction and so it is impossible to get anywhere near the skirting boards and furniture so you are constantly taking the head of to use the hose. I strongly recommend you look elsewhere.

The Pet Orb Bagless Cylinder Cleaner Is A Very Ine
The Pet Orb Bagless Cylinder cleaner is a very inexpensive vacuum cleaner and is also bagless, light to carry and easy to empty. Unfortunately in my opinion mine has been rather a waste of money because the brush clogs up constantly and won't work. With the brush attached the suction on mine is very poor, and it certainly won't pick up pet hairs or fur on my floors. If the brush is removed and just the nozzle used, I find it possible to pick up dust and loose bits, but it is a slow job on large areas of carpet or furniture. The idea of the turbo brush is good but somehow unfortunately in my opinion the design here doesn't work, which is a pity as it would be useful as a 2nd machine for cleaning up animal hair on furniture or other areas where an animal lays, crumbs etc.

The Morphy Richards 73171 Pet Orb Bagless Cylinder
The Morphy Richards 73171 Pet Orb Bagless Cylinder doesn't pick up cat/human hair once you attach a brush. Brush itself just gets constantly furred up and I don't feel the carpet has had much of a clean once used. Very bad cleaner.

Nice Design, Easy To Use And Pretty Reliable! Valu
Nice design, easy to use and pretty reliable! Value for money on this Morphy Richards vacuum cleaner is excellent. The size is great too, there is nothing wrong with this machine.
This was obviously written by someone at Morphy Richards. This cleaner is thankfully now obsolete, but even if someone offers you one for free, say no thanks. The filter clogs instantly reducing suction. Exactly what a cyclone is supposed to avoid. This piece of junk shows exactly what happens when your R&D department spend all their time trying to get round Dyson's patents rather than thinking for themselves.

The Morphy Richards 73171 Pet Orb Bagless Cylinder
The Morphy Richards 73171 Pet Orb Bagless Cylinder vacuum cleaner has to be the worst vacuum I have ever bought. It does not pick up dog hair. The turbo head constantly jams, and the tools are poor quality. As for the suction; well once you attach a brush head it seems to disappear, and it will only work on wooden floors not carpet! Weird!! Unfortunately I can't find my receipt, or this would be going straight back!

I Purchased The Morphy Richards 73171 Pet Orb Bagl
I purchased the Morphy Richards 73171 Pet Orb Bagless Cylinder vacuum cleaner in February 2005. I waited this long to see if I could find any good points.
On first use I was aghast at how loud the turbo brush was! It emits a loud whistling noise. It didn't get much dog hair off my settee. A rubber glove did a better job. The heat produced back at you as you're using it is ridiculous, and the carrying handle is at the wrong end!
The turbo brush had to be pulled apart to pull out the hairs and fluff which collect in the wheel ends, and this took 20 minutes. The dust container has a little button which you press and the bottom opens over your bin, then you have to prize out the remaining fluff and pull out the filter. You are supposed to wash this thing. It's disgusting, and I ended up using a dust brush. Not good for allergy sufferers.
I've now sold it very cheaply and I've gone back to my Dyson 01. For the dog hair I use a clothes Velcro brush.
What a waste of money!
