Where Do I Start?the Genus Geo 1 Display Has

Where do I start? The Genus GEO 1 display has two settings. Bright and way too bright. I have to cover the screen even on low setting. It actually emitts an annoying buzzing sound which keeps me awake. You cannot have the radio on a very low volume setting at all.

The manual was missing in the box and the alarm is a nightmare to set. Also to manually select a station I have no idea how to do it! I found a copy of the instructions online previously but hard to find!

This Is Not A Bedside Alarm Clock, But An Office D

This is not a bedside alarm clock, but an office desk accessory.

The blue display is annoyingly very bright, even on low, in a dark bedroom. There are only two levels of brightness - low or high. This should be bright and very bright.

The lowest volume setting when listening to music in a quiet bedroom is too loud.

When the radio comes on as an alarm, it does not switch itself off after, say, an hour. It has to switched off manually. This means that if go away over night and have not disabled the alarm, or leave home without switching it off, the radio will be on when you come home. The should be an auto switch-off after say an hour.

To enable the sleep function, the radio has first to be switched on, then the sleep button pressed, then the sleep time set and then the sleep function activated. Very cumbersome. This should be a one touch function.

The quality of the sound, even with 100% signal strength, is decidedly average.

The button are located on the front panel, and pushing the buttons pushes the radio away from you, across the surface, without activating the button. Two hands are needed for most tasks.

For some reason the automatic clock is over a minute different from both my GPS clock and the DAB BBC time signal on the radio. I have corrected it by setting the time/date manually.

It does look stylish and modern, and seems to be reliably built.
